Question in the title, day to day life.

My son found 3 dollars somewhere and has been carrying it in his pocket for the past like 3 days. Each night before PJ's he puts it on his dresser and each morning after getting dressed he unfolds it, checks to make sure all 3 bucks are still there and then folds them back up and puts them in his pocket for the day.

We've had this question before and a lot of people don't carry cash unless it's on the course, but I wonder if anything has changed.

I usually have 60-100 bucks on me these days. Right now it's been dwindled down to like 20, mostly in 5s somehow so I need to restock.

Usually $0.00

Maybe 20 bucks? I almost never use cash

Only enough to tip the barber every 2 weeks. I hate carrying cash. Try to avoid it whenever possible.

$100-150, with some $1 and $5 bills for tips

I would assume that's going to be like 1/2 of everyone. Like, why carry cash at all?
Agreed. Cash for my Saturday game at my club and that's really the only time I ever go to the MAC

Somewhere between 0 and $100 at any given time. Usually closer to $100.

I normally have between $20-$80.

I'm always finding myself with a random reason to use cash myself.

I feel like now that my kids are getting more understanding with how money works it almost helps to have it. I can give them each $10 bill and say you can get whatever you want - then we go through and do the math today and see what they can afford. Rather than saying you have 10 bucks on dad's plastic make believe money card. Makes it feel more real I think.

Usually between $25-40, I use cash all the time, coin change too.

That’s hilarious. To answer the question, $50-$100

Always carry some cash. $50-$100. I hate charging for small purchases like a cup of coffee.

truly depends on the circumstances. Sometimes zero. 'then other times several hundred.

Id say more times than not............zero

100-200, use cash , often enough, some places prefer cash over card etc & it’s still legal tender

Between 20 and 150, depending on the day.

Quite often the number is $0

I carry anywhere between $200 - $300 at anytime

I carry cash because I spend WAY less money. With plastic you don't even register how much money you have spent in a weekend.
I also carry cash to tip. It is so much better for the person receiving it.

Usually around $300.

In Montana a few of my usual places only took cash. Now in SC, I’m seeing the opposite with signs saying they don’t accept cash.

I just counted what was in my wallet - $335

I'm in the $50-100 range - I go to the bank on a weekly basis, grab my money and use it for the various different things that may come up.

Typically 20-100 for valet parking. Seems like that is the only time I use cash is for valet parking. Everything else is Apple Pay or CC (only if they don't accept Apple Pay).
