Powerball, mega millions, scratch tickets, etc!
Pick your poison what do you play?

Only when the prize value is greater than the odds of winning, and only occasionally even then . For example, if the odds of winning are 1 in 400 million, I may buy a ticket if the jackpot exceeds $400 million. I definitely wouldn't buy a ticket in this example if the prize were $395 million, for example.

Lottery: a tax on people who can't do math.

We play it randomly/once in a while. When the prize gets really big we'll pick up a few quick picks, but it's not a regular thing.

Probably an average of once a year, if that.

Not very often.

I generally play one powerball ticket on Saturdays. Generally only if the jackpot is higher than 200 mil. Pretty sure both are hovering around 400 mil right now

Right now with the jackpots high, weekly. Fun to dream

When the jackpot is big enough to entice me.

I have a problem.. I play powerball twice a week and lucky for life twice a week. Occasionally mega millions when it’s high.
I had asked the question because powerball and mega are both over 300 right now and that’s getting pretty high.

Maybe a few times a year... I’ll buy when the jackpot goes over 50 million.

341 million. Take the 262 milli cash option like a smart person. Expect to keep about 125 million of that after taxes.

I’d build myself a hell of a mansion with 125 mill lol

Never. If I’m going to gamble, it will be a cash game at a poker table where I have a chance to use skill to take advantage of weaker players.

I play it about once every three years. No reason why or why not.

Speaking of gambling I’d play a roulette wheel every night if there was one in town...

Used to be twice a week, but now it is like once a year.

I don't have gambler's luck, so I don't gamble. If I walk into a casino, I might as well just throw a couple hundred bucks at the nearest dealer and walk away, get the suffering over all at one rather than death by a thousand cuts. The only gambling I do is play the video poker machines at the bars for comped drinks - and I play slow and drink fast!

My son calls it the 'stupid' tax :D

Less than 5 times a year. Only the big stuff

I play powerball or megamillions every 4-6 months I'd say and scratchers like every other month at most. I like playing scratchers but don't play as often as I'd like. I have a weird superstition that I can't by single scratchers, always have to buy in pairs. I've won $100 a few different times but nothing more.

Powerball and Megamillions. Two quick picks on each, no powerplays. I only play when I think about it, so maybe once a month.

Not very often for me. I never make a special trip just to buy tickets.

Being from Vegas, imo, the game KENO has the worst odds of all the casino's betting games. To me playing the Lottery is a lot like playing KENO.
