Recently, we posed a question to the THP Community about the cost of golf grips. What does one typically spend on a golf grip versus what they would potentially invest should something special come along? Not simply some cool graphics or licensed imagery, but something different, something unique. Today marks the introduction of one such […]

That was a lot of information to pack and I am really interested in hearing thoughts from the Staff members who have these in play. The color combination are unique and offer an option who prefer that. The price point isn’t that high, if these these grips last more than one season.

Time will tell if WellMXS catches on here in the states!!!

I am interested is seeing how they are accepted in the market. Seems a bit pricey compared to what the other manufacturers that already have a major presence in the market.

I have had a WellMXS Hyper on my driver for about a year now and to say I am thrilled would be an understatement.
First off, after a year, it is still pretty much brand new. The durability is unlike anything I have tested to date in the 17 years of doing this.
The feel is good. The grip is good. It never twists or has the perception of twisting. The performance is great in humity, its been good in the rain, etc. I have thrown literally everything at this grip and it just works.

My only issue is that my grip is red and blue, on a green shaft, so it clashes. An order will be placed today for a full set.

To learn that pretty much every grip on the market is single step of injection molding versus up to six got my attention enough to ask about it. That led to the deepest dive into grips I had ever done. That brought me to WellMXS and while I have not had a lot of conversations or anything with the company, I am enamored.

I am thinking Apple Green and Diamond Yellow will be my grip of choice moving forward.

If there is a significant difference, I’m very interested. Especially if longevity comes into play. I believe so much can be influenced by the golf grip and maybe just maybe many have been using the wrong one.

I’m curious to hear the staff’s thoughts on these. I might give them a go myself depending on what I hear back!

Oh….. this is what I wanted to hear! No midsize though…. Argh

Here is the original on my driver.

I don’t have a ton of history with golf grips but these seem like a clean company too. At least on their website that is how they are promoting it.

Looking as well, they don’t seem to have any grips other than undersized or standard for anything.

These don’t seem that expensive if you are going to keep them and the THP reviews make it sound like these would last.

How did I not know this grip has been on your driver?

The comments here bodes me want to try them out.

No midsize. Bummer. Can't even molest the piggy bank for just one to try out.

Super interesting. Like some of the color combinations. Would definitely order one to try if they came in midsize.

$325 a set makes leather grips look like a bargain. Debating trying one to see how the torque feels as it’s some I’m definitely sensitive too as well as how it performs in all types of weather. Looks to match a few NFL color ways as well so that’s a plus for some. Are they selling direct or through a distributor in the states? Curious Will the core if they can be built up.

There's a carolina blue color pathway...🤤

Hmmm super intrigued here. How would you describe the softness? Would it be Winn with durability or Sonar-esque?

Personally neither. It’s firmer than those to me. Somewhere in between that and Tour Velvet. My issue with most super soft grips is the slight movement that takes place and in my experience it always takes place.

I’m a golf nerd and when I learned no paint and instead of a single injection mold 4-6x, I was intrigued. I believe currently we are the only place on the internet in the US with the news of these finally being here, but I expect that to change.

They certainly aren’t inexpensive, but at the same time my driver has held up ridiculously well. It gets a lot of swings, a crazy amount of travel and because it’s the proto shaft, a lot of trial. Just about everybody that has tried it liked it.

I am a sucker for anything green. Interesting stuff guys. I really would like to see/feel these in person.

JB had this on driver in the cold mist that first morning at Hidden Creek and I remember being impressed with the feel and grip even in those conditions. Glad to finally see more info about them.

Also glad you are putting in an order for the THP colors bc your right that blue red was a big time clash lol.

I do enjoy when we get of a brand story with the gear breakdown.

I think I would either go Navy Super of the Hyper Orange and Blue for my favorite team. But the ability to mix and match pending shaft is also really fun with these.

If they hold, and it seems like they do, price doesn’t sway me.

The color options are insane. A few that caught my eye and well I might be placing an order…

Any word on when midsize might be show up? Not the end of the world as a few layers of tape can fill the gap, but saw in their site the option is built in, just greyed out right now. That would imply they may be coming.

This is very interesting, though the price is a little high, kind of a "you get what you pay for" situation it seems here. This article is very well written by @Jman ! The 6 step injection caught my eyes. This article almost felt more like a brand story, which I really enjoyed.

Genuinely no. My gut says it is a wait and see approach based on how these go in the US market.

I’ll grab some photos later. I’ve had two of these grips on drivers for the past 8 months or so but started getting interested when seeing it on @JB driver last spring. The durability for something with this type of feel has been pretty damn impressive.
