Invest In Rain Gear

I can actually find a Footjoy top locally so I will try it on. If it’s allowed to dry out and taken care of doesn’t last a while?
FWIW, Footjoy rain gear gets good reviews.

My GB gear showed up today. Wayyy lighter than I thought it was going to be

You should wear it this weekend regardless of conditions.

After following the action today, I probably should spend some time on Galway Bays website. Never know when these essentials will come in handy.

You can wear their stuff anywhere by the way. The jacket is great for a light wind jacket in the spring as well.

I assume that’s what @JB was wearing in that picture and agree. It’s all around good looking gear.

I believe so. The hybrid pullover layering piece is amazing too. I wear that thing all the time.

It’s raining here today and I’m wearing my jacket and it’s perfect. So glad I jumped in. Wish I would have done it sooner, but I will be prepared from now on

Granted, it's just that time of year, but I've worn the jacket at least twice a week since it arrived and can't keep the layering piece clean because I always grab it when it's not in the hamper.

I have a Footjoy Hydrolyte Jacket. Was on the expensive side ($240) but was great for playing in the rain.

Which model pants and jacket?

Love my Sunderland of Scotland gear. I bought it during COVID and whenever I use it, it downright performs!!

I was wondering about that brand. Same with ProQuip. I’ve seen some really good reviews of it. Galway Bay is damned good. I don’t know that I can stomach nearly $700 for something that would be used a few times most every year.

That’s the exact reason I never bought it. Then I needed it and didn’t have it and would have gladly paid it at that point.

I did get it 30% off during The Masters so I had an incredible deal. But I’m telling you as someone that has never had rain gear before and got absolutley punished for it, I’m very VERY happy that will never happen to me again

Corrib and Claddagh

We should have a review up pretty soon.
Looking forward to it. As it is raining here for the third consecutive day and more rain tomorrow

I've never had more than a windbreaker type coat for rain gear. The weather and the fact it's basically raining for a week straight has me visiting this thread often now.

Growing up in the PNW (NW Washington State) I've always had something for rain gear. When we lived in Norway, it was on the solkysten (sun coast) we didn't have too much rain. I have REALLY appreciated the FJ rain jacket that has zip off sleeves. So nice to be able to remove them on warm rainy days. But I also like the full set I bought at Decathlon although it'll be quite fit dependent (aren't they all!).

I’m thinking that too. I wouldn’t want to be at an Experience or other special golf trip without serious rain gear, at least a jacket.

Do they run discounts somewhat regularly do you (or anyone else) know for Galway Bay?
I am pretty convinced I want the Corrib jacket but if they run discounts somewhat regularly, I would wait and get it then.

They had 30% off for the masters and now nothing. That makes a huge difference. Hoping for a PGA discount.

I've had a ProQuip jacket for about 6-7 years and it's absolutely fantastic!

Need pants now because their Large is too big and their medium is too small for me image.jpgimage.jpg

I don’t know, but the discount is why I jumped in. Since it was a discount for a major, maybe wait until the PGA like @JGirard27 said. Decent chance. But I don’t know for sure since this was my first foray into looking at them closely
