Is golf a “stress reliever” for you…?

With the right people, which might be just just yourself. The right time of day the need for peace which sometimes you dont even realize you need, golf is a great stress reducer. An empty golf course late in the day is both beautiful and mind clearing.
Same sport that can be stress producing over a five foot putt or on a tee box with your boss. That's what makes it great.

Just a reliever in general from the real world.

100% and really couldn't care less how I play. Just love being out there to separate from all things else in the world.

Yes 💯! Playing golf, or practicing is a great way for me to clear my mind!

Yes. I got too much going on in the rest of my life to stress over golf. It’s my place to relax. I live on my home course so getting out after dinner with my pushcart and walking 7 or 8 holes at dusk is my quiet place.

Absolutely, recently retired but working 50-60 hours a week in the corporate world brought a lot of stress so getting away to solitude of golf course was an oasis for me.

It's a relief from the normal in life, while it brings its own stress............it's still enjoyable to be out with friends, getting exercise, and have good conversations and fun.

Yes, It is my mental health break from the real world.

My wife calls golf my "cup filler". When I am getting frustrated with life in general she will not speak to me until i go golfing lol she knows its good for me

Golf is my stress reliever on days that I cannot golf AKA work days. I am thinking of the weekend round.
The days I actually golf its 50/50. If I golf well its great. If I choke or play poorly then it's not in any way.

No question it’s a stress reliever for me

100%. More often than not I look around wherever I’m playing and say to myself that there not much better than this.

I think I kind of have a 2 part answer for this...I love golf, and going out and just playing for fun is definitely a stress reliever. But, when I play tournament rounds I wouldn't call it a stress reliever necessarily. It's a way for me to be competitive doing something I love. I have always had a competitive streak in me and it's why I love playing when it matters. It doesn't add stress, maybe it used to, but I've realized now there's a lot more to life. But most of my rounds I'm not looking for it to reduce my stress, I'm looking for it to ignite my passion for competition
