I was the incredibly fortunate recipient of the Ultimate Club Champion Fitting Giveaway!

Here, I will detail my journey throughout the full fitting process, itself, as well as my experience with Club Champion.

Any detailed club feedback once the clubs are in hand will be posted in their respective threads.

Any advice ahead of my fitting from those who have gone through the full bag fitting process would be much appreciated!

My fitting is officially scheduled for July 31st at 1:00 PM at Club Champion Houston.

I sent JB my PM with my information at 7:40 AM and Club Champion had already reached out to me by 9:30 AM. Absolutely incredible turnaround time regarding communication. I sent them in a handful of days that worked for me over the next few weeks and then we had a date set! I have never had a full blank canvas bag fitting, so I am really curious about the entire process. In the past, I have generally already had a head in hand looking for a shaft that was a good fit.

About Me:
35 years old
Left-handed
Been golfing for about 24 years
Generally, play 50-65 rounds per year
Current handicap: 5.7 (all-time low handicap of 2.6, 12-month low of 4.4)

Weaknesses: my distance is average at best, so I would like to see if I can “get a little bit more” out of anything I am fit into; I am not a great driver of the golf ball. I have a terrible push fade that rears its ugly head a few times per round that I would love to reign in.

Strengths: iron accuracy, distance control, lag putting; once upon a time, I had a really solid short game, which still shows glimpses of being there, but lack of practice has now given me a slightly above average short game

Current setup:
Driver: Srixon ZX5 Mk II with Graphite Design M9003
3 Wood: Srixon ZX Mk II with Project X HZRDUS Smoke Red RDX
UW: Callaway Apex UW with Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX
Hybrid: Callaway Apex Pro 21 with Mitsubishi MMT
Irons: Srixon ZX7 Mk II with Fujikura Axiom
Wedges: Cleveland RTX 6 Zipcore with True Temper DG Spinner
Putter: LAB DF2.1
Ball: Srixon Z-Star XV Divide and Srixon Z-Star Diamond

Expectations:
I am planning on going through the fitting process completely open minded, which is easier said than done. On my pre-fit questionnaire, I did not list any preferred brands or any other preferences. I have not played anything other than “players’ irons” in some time, so something different intrigues me, as well as going through the whole putter fitting process. Also, managing by gaps better through fitting than I have historically will be exciting.

Thanks again to THP and Club Champion and to everyone else following along!

Left handed!! Oh man!! This is broken already!! lol!!

My advice to you is to split the fitting into 2 days, so you do not tire yourself out. I would go in with open mind and let the fitter do his magic

Can’t wait to follow! Are there any clubs/shafts in particular you’re excited to try?

Hmmmm.... I think the Darkspeed and AI Smoke Drivers would top my list right this second. Also, the Apex Pro and Titleist T150 irons.

When you get to wedges, make sure you practice the flop shot😉😂

Love the recap of who you are, what you do well, and where you're looking to improve. All of us probably have an idea of where our game is, so I'll be interested to follow and see how your journey turns out!

Can't wait for the update in 2 weeks.

It's a sure thing off of mats. Definitely.
You’re going to be DIALED! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a consistent swing

I concur.
I have done the cc full bag fitting before and they let me split it into two sessions.

Go in, smack some clubs, don't look too hard at the specific shaft / club profile unless it's something you're definitely not going to like looking at all round long, but still might produce good results.

I'll hit a shovel if it's work best, others will not.

I am very much in for this follow!!

Great start to this fitting. Looking forward to hearing all about it

Can’t wait to see how this plays out and how many strokes you have to give @Wildcat in the next match!

Best advice if possible is splitting it up.

My suggestion is to not pay attention to what brand or model you're hitting. Base everything off the numbers but if you hit things similar, then go based off brand or looks you prefer.

Looking forward to following this and seeing the results.

Definitely following!

No more POPS!!!! No more POPS!!!!

This is going to be a fun follow!!! Congrats again!!!

I read your intro but do you have any brands that you have penciled down that you are excited to try?

It might be tough but breaking it up into two days would be good if you start to fade with swings

Congrats. Following to hear your thoughts on the process.

I think that Callaway, Cobra, and Titleist would top my list.
