Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 174. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Jason Horodezky from Kinetixx joins the show and takes a deep dive into the world of golf shafts and their brand.

It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Jason talk about Mach and Hypersonic shafts and dive into shaft profiles and how they impact golfers. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Jason Horodezky goes Off Course.

Episode 174 is here and Dan and Jason discuss the following topics.

The Organic Nature of Kinetixx
Website and Future Updates
Mach and Hypersonic
Static vs Reactionary Shaft Profiles
And so much more

You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or anywhere you do your listening and downloading from. Search for the Hackers Paradise and make sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode. After listening, come back over and drop us a note below on what you agree and/or disagree with from the episode. If you get a chance, drop us a review wherever you listen from and let others know what you think of the show and/or channel.

Time to get into some tech items I’d imagine. Excited to see how this plays out and hear details of the Hypersonic

Excited to listen to this one! Love Kinetixx shafts

Cool this one sponsored by Edel. Historically heel weight for me!

What’s an SMD part? And the potential of active fiber composites sounds really intriguing

The analogies Jason provides to help understand shaft performances is great

So how would Jason suggest finding the right tech to be part of you, tailored to you? I don't think many golfers would disagree but that's the trick to really grab momentum imho.

In previous interviews, he is a very strong proponent of fitting.

buckle up, boys. This one is heavy!

Can't wait to catch this one later today, shaft knowledge and Kinetixx!

I know, but it also seems from this one that there is a level of skepticism or regret there aren't more highly qualified fitters out there. I believe throwing darts at the balloons was the analogy in some cases

You did a nice job of not having it feel heavier than my Physics 201 class from back in the day

Always one of my fav guests!

If you want to go heavy, go out there and research a bit on active fiber composites (AFCs). It's really cool if you want to nerd out for a bit.

A sample quote to let your mind wander the possibilities of integrating them into a golf shaft:
"The development of AFCs offers a great potential for advancing structural health monitoring techniques and active vibration control and suppression thanks to their flexibility and lightweight characteristics"

The problem with graphite putter shafts is the very limited application. I can’t use his putter shaft with my putter.

I believe that to be the case for Jason.
Hopefully THPers have someone in their area, but like some other companies, this brand is high on explanation sometimes needed.
Jason fully believes that nobody makes a golf shaft as well as Kinetixx, which definitely comes through in his message.

You can definitely tell Jason believes in what Kinetixx is doing and doing it the best of anyone in the industry.

I was hoping Jason would touch a little bit on this, Very limited putters the graphite shafts fit into

Currently playing the Velocity and hoping in December that fitting numbers will show that the Hypersonic is a good fit for the Driver.. going in with open mindset but that is my hope.

Halfway through it. The other half on the drive home tonight. Interesting tid bit on the application of kevlar in their shafts.

I’m. So. Excited.

He had me at Venn diagram.
