When you replace a club, or clubs, in your bag do you tend to keep the club you are replacing or do you trade them in or sell them?

We all know that Callaway does a few trade in bonuses per year, and that can bring the cost down on clubs quite a bit, but do you tend to get rid of your clubs or keep them around?

For my current iron set Club Champion had a 50% trade in bonus going on when I got fit and bought them so I got rid of my P790s. In the past I've generally kept some clubs, but have a feeling going forward I'll try to maximize trade in value to knock down the price of any future replacements.

I keep some (my sons take them) and I trade in others. Callaway bonuses always lead to trade-ins.

I generally keep at least 2 sets of woods and 3 sets of irons and wedges.

Everything else gets donated to local junior programs (usually my home courses program but not always). I haven't sold or traded in clubs in 10 years. It's a good deal for the kids LOL, one of them got a full Titleist bag this year with T150 irons.

But i'm no hero, i am just a guy who wants to meet their moms

I like to keep enough clubs to make up one full bag for just in case. Above that I’ll wait until I have a fistful and go do some trading.

I tend to keep some putters and wedges but usually trade the rest preferably when there is a bonus credit deal.

Nothing wrong with trying to meet some local moms. Everyone needs a good role model in their life

I trade em in for that sweet sweet bonus credit when applicable

I've give / donate them to family (particularly my BIL, who is just now starting to play golf) or friends. Used / resale market is BRUTAL.

Ya it's pretty wild how quickly the value in clubs drops but I guess it's like that with most things

Yep - makes sense bc the resellers have to have some margin for themselves. Still wild though...

I offer them to family first (give away), and then if no one needs them I trade them in.

I have a lot of clubs hanging around now. I am stocking up for 3dp trade in.

I think it depends on the potential value of the club and how much it might offset any potential purchase. I take it on a case by case basis.

I went through a period of time where I bought and traded in putters quite a bit. Recently I've been mostly keeping my clubs. I should probably sell off some of my putter hoard.

I hoard. And it sucks.

I'm a hoarder. However starting to pare stuff down-with a heavy heart.

I sell some, trade in some. Trading, unless on Callaway during a promo though, is such a loss.

I keep mine for a long time, but this last year I did a bunch of trading in to get new clubs. I can see myself doing that going forward, as long as the 2X trade continues.

Usually trade up.

Trade in or sell on Ebay for a better price.

I sell em. No one else in my family is a lefty, so no use for them here

I never trade in clubs bc I don't want to be ripped off. I'd rather take the time to sell them privately.

I tend to trade them in. At a certain point I'm not gonna use them again might as well get something for them.

Trade in or sell. I don't have a need or space for more than a few extra clubs.

I've never owned clubs that were worth enough to think about trading in, so I might as well keep them.
