NEWS Koepka leaving LIV

Everyone is watching, including PGAT players who would make the jump to LIV if leaving wasn’t a death penalty
Darn straight. this notion that only a few players were in it for the greed is ******* laughable.

Do you think they are playing the screen league for charity or or it’s just another example of them realizing some people enjoy team golf.

As Rory said, they owe a lot to LIV.

but I don’t know why anybody on the PGA Tour is following the Brooks thing, for three years. All we’ve heard is that he’s washed up.

Not a death blow, but a sign. A sign that money ain’t everything, especially when the money runs dry.
While that might be partly true (i still see no indication that the well is running dry) but Brooks is on record as taking the bag because he had no clue how his knee would bounce back from the surgery.

Traveling across the entire world to play golf may not be as fun as it sounds, especially when you have a family with small children
I still think the family/kids thing is a scapegoat. I truly think he was bored or LIV had served its use to him .

I still think he is. But he is a name. There are two things at play. Competitiveness and name recognition. He still has one.

LDSers better hope he is washed.
if he comes out early and wins on the PGA TOUR, Laughter will happen, because he couldn’t do it elsewhere supposedly

He was bored with the PGAT too his entire career lol he only cares about 4 events a year

He won twice last year right? He can win. I just don’t really expect it. The tour has gotten deeper.

Can anyone still jump to LIV? Can the teams bring in free agents from other tours or would the league need to create a new team or remove a captain to hook a PGA Tour superstar?

I laugh every time I hear about how the "well is running dry". The Saudis have F U money, they could probably buy the PGA Tour and every course they play on just from their earned interest in one year from the PIF, with plenty to spare. In the meantime, the PGA Tour just lost 5 more tournament sponsors (in addition to the, what, 2 or 3 others they lost last year?) and are crawling on their knees to outside investors to prop them up.

The only way LIV runs out of money is if MBS gets tired of it and decides he wants to take his ball and go home. They're drawing from a virtually bottomless well over there, their assets under management (AUM) are currently just over a trillion dollars, with a goal of reaching 2 trillion by 2030. LIV is chump change to them.

SHHHH.... we don't deal in facts here good sir. Just conjecture and feelings.

he won twice in 2024 iirc
Finished 2nd at the Masters. T12 at the PGA Championship. To act like he’s a fossil is crazy to me.

Wait till Patrick Reed tries to come back lol

I’m really trying to find a take of yours I agree with. We’re not there yet, but I’m not giving up

I appreciate that! Lol

But may have done it , for many years well before the existence of LIv .. and all the supports

I’m not sure Brooks is, or ever was, excited about playing golf outside of the Majors. His short stint on the LIV Tour dramatically increased his net worth and maybe he’s just not interested in playing tournament golf outside of the Majors anymore. He’s still got 4 years before he turns 40 so I think he can win another major or two.

It’s a big loss for LIV as their only players under age of 41 that have won majors are Bryson, Rahm, and Cam Smith. Bryson has won as many majors as those three combined and him and Bryson are the only LIV players to win a majors since joining. I’d love to see Brooks go out and win or have a top 5 finish in multiple majors this year.
