Sure could. Imagine them trying to pick off the top two to four LIV players each year! It’ll be like a mini version of the CFB portal!imagine the PGAT can open up a window each year should they choose.

Not sure LIV is giving out those huge signing bonuses anymore. So unless a player is certain to make that much on LIV, it would be a lot to forgo should they wish to jump back. And it is clear that the PGAT is saying that they are only interested in bringing back recent Major winners. So be careful if you jump. that's how I read into it.I disagree. The penalty for leaving isnt enough and doesnt protect PGAT from guys leaving, especially if they are signing for more than the $50-$90m number that is being floated out there
They just offered Bhatia $100m lolNot sure LIV is giving out those huge signing bonuses anymore. Bottom line, I think this new PGAT leadership is smart enough to realize that they improve the PGAT by bringing back guys like Koepka.
Brooks to pay a $50-90m penalty through fines, no equity, and no bonuses.
Also I dont disagree that this is PGAT realizing this is the best way for them to save face and get players back on their tour. Thats not my issue with it. My issue is now the PGAT is at risk to losing more players because the penalty for leaving isnt what they said it would beNot sure LIV is giving out those huge signing bonuses anymore. I thought I read somewhere that he was ineligible for sponsors exemptions so he has to qualify for signature events. He loses out on 5 years of equity, pays a $5 million charitable fine, and fields will be expanded to cover him. There’s 3 weeks left for other players to do so. He will probably get sponsors exemptions into sig events. Its a pretty good compromise..
And is it actually a fine?? I doubt it.. Its a paper rate.Subtract that out of the $125M ( ? ) signing bonus or so that he got and he's still up $45 to $75M. Pull out another $10M or so from endorsement losses and you get $35M to $65M of upside from leaving?
Am I doing the back of the napkin math right here?
That could be. I dont know. But one win and he is right? I guess he has a chance to prove if he is done or not. Plus.I thought I read somewhere that he was ineligible for sponsors exemptions so he has to qualify for signature events.
Again only 3 players get this treatment. Rahm, Cam, and Bryson. All captains on successful teams. All under contract. I think they have to clear contracts up with LIV then do this so it is not super easy. They were nice with Brooks to let him leave while under contract but not sure they take the same approach with others. There’s 3 weeks left for other players to do so..
Does anyone else jump???

Links Mafia gonna riot (in joy)That could be. I dont know. But one win and he is right? I guess he has a chance to prove if he is done or not. Plus.
Now he will be on TGL in a matter of weeks as well. Guaranteed!!!!! Jup links member
I could see Rahm moving honestly. Brooks was a captain of a pretty successful team.Again only 3 players get this treatment. Rahm, Cam, and Bryson. All captains on successful teams. Interesting. I don't really know anything about the Player's Equity Program. The donation seems silly but if that makes people feel better than ok. This is open until Feb 2nd and the first LIV event is Feb 4th.![]()
cowards
The "player equity thing" is interesting and until i see the exact way you "earn" its a sliding scale and my guess doesn't get close to what the pGAT has called out. Right now he is coming up smelling like roses and good for him. He played the cards he had with the knee injury, used LIV to get healthy, helped LIV in the process, and then now is back to the pGAT.Subtract that out of the $125M ( ? ) signing bonus or so that he got and he's still up $45 to $75M. Rahm has the longest remaining on his contract. He has won the last 2 individual titles. He is able to play on the Ryder Cup. He actually likes his team. I can't see him leaving this year but I won't say it would surprise me.I could see Rahm moving honestly. Brooks was a captain of a pretty successful team.

I dont disagree. But he has stated unhappiness and discontent. So it just makes me wonder. Thats all.Rahm has the longest remaining on his contract. He has won the last 2 individual titles. Which sponsors did he lose?A couple things. I think someone said he can get sponsor exemptions into signature events. that is incorrect. He has to earn his way into these events.
Also, don't forget he will get back some sponsors that he lost, or get new ones when he returns to the PGAT. Sponsor money was much less on LIV. So this is another way to pocket some more money that he is foregoing.
if an event sponsor wants Brooks there, he will be there. See Jordan Spieth from last year.A couple things. I think someone said he can get sponsor exemptions into signature events. that is incorrect. He has to earn his way into these events.

I agree with you. But this could be a situation that they are making him earn it. I am fine with that. It makes sense. He should have to have his play speak loudly to some extent.if an event sponsor wants Brooks there, he will be there. See Jordan Spieth from last year.
I didn't say they were done, just dead. Its been said since they started that they were dead, yet here we are looking forward to another season.
Far from it but I get you have a side.I didn't say they were done, just dead.
