L.A.B. Golf DF3 Putter

Also, I got the same alignment mark and it looks amazing!
Felt it was a bit different than the straight bar. Needed more than a dot and very happy I went that direction.

What was wrong with the mat. I still don't see it in pic but whatevs

That blue looks pretty good. I saw a red Mezz at GG today. I liked the look of it also.
I was in-between red and black or blue and white. Given the uniqueness of this I wanted it to be loud

I almost went with blue when I ordered, but in the end I stayed with black......triple black putter

The options with the custom and colored shafts have me very intrigued.

That's one of the very cool aspects of going with a custom order, you can make it exactly how you want it and unique to you. Head color, shaft and shaft color, grip, sight lines, some even have choices for head covers.

The wait time sucks, but in the end it's your putter just how you wanted it.

I got my tracking email today! About three weeks from order to shipping so not too bad. Now let’s see how bad my Evnroll acts up tomorrow, haha!

I ordered mine on Oct 30th. What date did you order yours? 😁

I was gonna say, if you can putt on that, you can putt anywhere!
If you can dodge a giant rug mountain you can dodge a wrench

wait what?!!

Got it today! It’s pretty cold here in Ohio but I’m hoping to get out with it tomorrow since it’ll be close to 60° out.

It sets up and rolls nice around the living room at least lol

I’ve spent the afternoon rolling both the DF and my Ai one 7 on this 6 foot straight line I have on my living room rug.

I can feel the 7 wanting to open ever so slightly on the way back which every so often twists enough for me to have a toe side miss that goes slightly right of the line. (My usual miss with it when playing)

With the DF I don’t feel that twist it feels more stable, like I don’t have to think about it at all. However, I occasionally miss left of the line with it.

So I had the maiden voyage today. 39 putts. Yes, you read that correctly three nine. I lost track of how many three putts I had.

To be fair, I was on unfamiliar greens that were very slow soggy and beat to hell. A friend made a good point there’s nowhere to go but up from here with the DF3.

It was mostly speed control issues, which I was definitely expecting switching to a new putter. That’s a little heavier in weight. I blew everything by on the front line and then over corrected leaving everything way short on the back.

It’ll get better I know it will. Starting lines were good. It feels great off the face. I just need more time with it and better greens.

If start lines were good you are well on your way

Yes I was putting it on the line I intended just very quickly or slowly. Lol.

Greens at the course I played today werent great. I had one that was on a good line hit a giant ball mark I didn’t see and jumped at a 90° angle off the line. It was an adventure 🤣

There is definitely a learning curve with the LAB putters. Ball position, speed control, light grip, shoulder rock..............it all comes with practice.

Stick with it, it's all worth it in the end.

I already do all those things. My ball position is naturally forward, I press just a little, and start my stroke with my shoulders. Hands are dead. I think on the front 9 I was gripping too tight blowing them 5 ft by then on back 9 I was gripping too light I wasn’t getting any ‘pop’ in the ball. Left everything short.

It’s a balance for sure. It puts incredible roll on the ball exactly on the line I choose. But, for now they are either blown by or I sally em up there. It’ll get dialed in not a lot of time left this year though.

That's what I'm finding out................my green reading or aim sucks.

I pick my spot, make the stroke, ball goes exactly where I wanted it to go, but misses the hole by a fraction.

Yeah I bet this putter is going to show me that my green reading is not good at all. But, if that’s the only thing I need to worry about fixing I’m starting from a better spot.

Got out for a quick nine holes mostly to wash the terrible taste out of my mouth from the greens I played on yesterday.
I played over at our club this morning where we actually have real greens that roll well.

Things are getting much more back to normal. I had several 15 to 20 footers that I managed to snuggle up all of them to the 1 foot range. Didn’t get any of them to drop, but we’re getting closer.

I like the way this putter sets up and feels through the stroke. It’s gonna take some time, but I think we’ll become good friends.

Three day tournament this past weekend and had some ups and downs with the DF3. I'm still putting really well inside of 8 feet, but I just couldn't get any long putts to drop. I'm right around the hole on longer putts, but really hoping I can start getting some 20+ footers to drop at a higher pace.
