L.A.B. Golf DF3 Putter

16 putts per side. Only one 3 putt and that’s mainly bc I left myself on the opposite side 50ft away on one of the toughest greens. Dropped 2 birdies. Made some BIG par saves. Lag puts were really good.

We are getting dialed in.

Also doing this is so much fun. 😂

Been rolling mine for about 50 putts a day since unboxing... This thing is getting hot. Using perfect practice small large holes and putt out ... We will be dialed with this by spring.

Love it. If I had to do over again I think I’d go with a white Accra shaft and black grip. I’ve only used it 3 rounds and I can already tell the white grip is going to be a huge pita to keep clean.

Yeah, white grip is a no-no
LOL

Simple green and a magic eraser seem to work best from what I've seen on the LAB facebook group

The headcover that comes with DF3 is such great quality good materials, great pattern but I have very small little quibble.

I almost feel silly mentioning it but it’s bothering me and can be a pain in the ass sometimes. When I put the putter back in the headcover I have to be extremely intentional about closing the left flap.

Here I’ll show a picture.

The right side magnet snaps closed easily but the left side never does. That means I need to take a few extra seconds and a bit more effort to secure the left side.

I know very minor ‘issue’ but it’s annoying the hell out of me. 🤣

It is a well know issue that when it's new, the cover is very tight and the magnets don't grab great.
I picked up a LAB rat cover for the 2.1 and it fits much easier.

Glad I’m not the only one

Interesting, I'll let y'all know how it goes when I get mine out on the course. I'm for sure trying to get one of those Player One covers, but the sell out fast!

Another day with no 3 putts on the round. I’m developing a whole lot of confidence in putts inside of 10 foot. Anything 6 foot and in I’m not missing it. That confidence is freeing me up so much I’m giving more putts a chance by running them by the hole because I’m no longer concerned with having a ‘knee knocking’ come backer.

This is only the 3rd round out with it, i think… I’m kinda upset that golf weather is rapidly coming to a close here. I’m confident that with a little more time those 15-20 foot birdie putts that I’m barely missing would start falling. There are a few places near me that keep good practice greens even in the cold so I’ll bundle up and get some practice in this offseason.

I’m excited about putting for the first time in a good while. Things will be dialed by spring.

I haven’t taken mine on its maiden voyage yet, but I’ve been rolling it in the basement to dial in the feel. I’m also trying to track down a Player One head cover, haha!

That clears up in a few weeks, at least for me.

Played yesterday in very windy cold conditions, on punched greens................no 3 putts at all.
Didn't drop a lot of putts, but they were all within a foot for a tap in 2 putt.
I'll take that in those conditions.

Pretty decent day yesterday with the putter on some bumpy greens

29 putts total on 44% of GIR
1 bad three putt from about 20 feet, where I hit the first putt about 6 feet by
I did have two nice birdie putts fall each from about 15 feet
13 putts on the back 9!

I used this putter last week for the first time. Was playing in a 2 man scramble skins game, but I putt first for our team so I always got to give it a go. I was most impressed with my speed control. I was always around the hole, even on longer putts

It’s a very eye opening experience.

Even with them putting some tough pins out there, I felt really confident no matter what putt we had. I don't know maybe it's some type of placebo effect but I felt like everything was going to go in. Never had a scared stroke on anything

I think for me it’s just that I know it’s going to start on the line I want it to no matter what. Then it’s just up to me and my green reading skill. It takes out a variable.

That's true, it really did feel like however I aimed it came out right where I wanted it

Reps on reps on reps!
