Curious if any of you have used or gone to L.A.B. putters? They seem interesting but I'm not sure I could spend that much without having one in hand first.

I did use their remote fitting and got spec'd out at 34" long and 72*, so even if I went to one of the places a couple hours away from me, it still wouldn't be the combination I was recommended.

I'm not opposed to spending the money, but if I end up not liking it there is a $150 restocking fee and I end up with nothing.

Paging @Jank

I recently purchased a LAB DF 2.0 while on vacation in Florida. I'll be honest, I wouldn't have bought one at full price but finding a like-new model for half off was enough incentive to pull the trigger.

My confidence with putter in hand has never been higher.

I have used one. I think they work well.

I think that I’ve had mine in the bag for about 3 years and I saw improvements in all of my putting metrics almost immediately.

It’s admittedly not the most attractive putter, but I have a lot of confidence especially inside of 10 feet. I say take the risk!!

Awesome that you were able to get a deal on one. What do you like/dislike about it? What about it made your confidence go up?

I'm looking at the LINK.1 which looks a lot more traditional

Do you think it helps or makes things any easier? I understand you still have to get the correct read, but if it eliminates fighting the putter opening up that could help stay on line from the start.

Yeah, I think the design works. Do not just go order. Find a place that sells them and get fit. They are pretty particular and it is not a one size fits all putter.

The only dislikes I have thus far are how much space it takes up in the bag and how difficult it is to pick up a golf ball with.

This is the first putter I've ever held onto where I can relax my hands. I know that my stroke is outside-in and I tended to focus on that a lot before this putter. The trueness of the roll this putter creates is incredible. Even long putts I feel like I'm going to give them a chance

I did use their remote fitting so I know what I'm spec'd out for, they just don't have it anywhere I can try that specific set up.

I love my MEZZ 1 putter! I was remotely fit for it as well. I have putt really well with it. A lot more putts have Had chance to go in than ever before. I burn a lot of edges if they don't go in. So it really comes down to my alignment.

What did you have before your L.A.B.? Was it hard to adjust too?

Gotcha. The lie angle is super important. It will feel really weird if it is off.

I've always been a blade putter, Scotty. So my stroke was more on an arc with those type of putters. But I also have Odyssey putters that require more of a straight back & straight thru stroke, so adjusting to it really hasn't been a problem. It's all in the science of stability in the putter itself really. There is nothing to get used to ... just grip, aim & stroke the putt.

I watched @Jank make a ton of putts when we played. I was just shaking my head lol

I've been gaming the DF 21 for the last two years. Great short to medium distance putter. Long range is not great. I really have to hammer it and still can't get distance under control.

And yes it looks odd. Every other round someone asks me what my putter is.

If I had a nickel for every time some random says "it looks like a (insert something utterly hilarious)"....

A branding iron or a spade is most common for me 🤣

I have the DF 21 also. Love it and might look at the Mezz this winter. One playing partner that I golf with a lot calls it the toilet brush. Every time I make a decent putt, I 'flushed it'! :D

I get spaceship a lot and branding iron as well. One of the regulars in my group calls it my "illegal putter" lol

Nice, how was your putting before getting your L.A.B.?

I’ve had the Mezz 1 max in the bag for the entire season. I feel like this putter has delivered on a lot of promises for me.
