Last Time You Tried a Completely Different Grip?

When I was handed driver at Shaft Up 2, the WellMXS grip that was installed on it.

JUST got a Super Stroke Crossline 2.0 to try on my speed training driver. I wore a hole in the cheap Karma grip I put on. So curious to see how this does with grip and durability.

Earlier this year I switched from a CP2 Pro to SuperStroke Crossline 2.0 and have really liked them.

3 years ago when I started experimenting with leather swing grips.

Shaft up last year w/ WellMXS Supers. About to go all WellMXS shortly bc I love them so much.

Been around 3 years

Last winter, when I switched over to the REVL Comforts and realized the Jumbomax grips were causing my tennis elbow issues. I've stuck with them since.

I have two WMX Super grips at home I need to get put on a couple of clubs. Probably driver and an iron.

Honestly never to be honest. I've used Lamkin Crossline or GP Tour Velvet my entire golf life basically

the grip I got fitted for at Shaft Up2 is different. at least, different size and guessing less resilient as club is starting to turn in my hand because it is a bit slick.

This season, picked up those GP multi compound Steph curry collabs on sale. Was thinking I wouldn’t like since they were not corded but actually really like them and are holding up great so far.

Switched from tour velvets on irons and corded z grips on woods.

I try new ones all the time. Last time I kept a new one in play for a while was in January when I put one of the REVL Comfort black grips on my driver shaft.

It's still there.

Earlier this season I tried both a Super Stroke Element and True Temper Icon.

And I have WellMXS Supers I need to install that I haven't tried yet. I've tried the hyper but not the super.

This year I tried 2 different grips, and went back to ole'reliable.

I tried out a JumboMax Ultralite M grip on driver, but found that I was hooking the ball with it.
I tried out a WellMXS jumbo grip on the driver, but found it too slippery.

At the end of last season is when I tested and ended up switching to the SS Revl player.

This season I’ve been testing their element 4x and have it on 2 clubs.

This season... got a demo club with SS REVL... singular club which I played for about half the season until I changed the grip to match the rest of my irons

Truly different?? Probably that time I burnt a pile of cash on JumboMax grips.

About 2 years ago I tried the GP CPX and haven't looked back. Gave me a nice soft grip that didn't tear up my hands like the MCC grips did but was still firm enough to not make the club feel squirmy in my hands.

WellMXS was too slippery? Interesting!

What did you go to that you felt was grippier?

For me it was some point last year iirc, when i got a couple WellMXS grips. I have such a mish mash of grips but the wmx grips have made me want to standardize to them across the board.

I haven’t tried a new grip in years. It’s terrifying to me.

What makes it so terrifying to you? Just curious as it is something that i think so little about....hell i have 3 different kinds of grips in my bag at the moment.

Its been a while. I have gone with the MCC for a while now. These ones are still in pretty good shape so in no hurry to switch it up.

Actually now that I think about it the MCC on the driver is the grip from shaft up a few years ago and is starting to show some wear. May need to throw an experiment in there

I haven't tried it on the course in a long time. I couldn't get off the tee for a month earlier this summer. It was duck hook dying and going about 180 75% of the time. I tried overlap and baseball on range but it just didn't feel right. Got a lesson and it was my feet and I was closing my stance and not getting my hips through and not the grip.
