What tools do you use to finish these putters? Absolutely amazing work.
Most of what has been posted can be done with very a limited supply of tools... hand polishing, and hand sanding to soften shoulders/bumpers, wash, pre-heat, torch, oil quench. So the absolute minimum would be: 120/220/400/1000/2000 grit sandpaper (optional: metal hand file), metal polish, degreaser (dish soap works), bench vise or vise grips, blow torch (propane, MAPP, or oxy-acetylene), metal bucket, and motor oil or 2-cycle oil. That's the basic setup I started doing Cameron refurbs with, and it would take me 3-4 days of hand sanding and filing to get the head ready to be finished and my hands would be sore as heck. The first upgrade I made to the garage workshop was a bench grinder.
Today my garage looks entirely different than it did when I first became interested in this stuff. It's a slow process of accumulation. The tools I regularly use now are: bench grinder with scotch brite and polishing/buffing wheels, 8-gal/150 psi compressor, blast cabinet, air gun, heat gun, bench vise, cross-throat vise, oxy-acetylene outfit, MAPP torch with extension hose, and last but not least, my little TIG rig.
