Listen to one artist the rest of your life? Who would it be?

Pink Floyd!!

Dave Matthews Band

Rick Wakeman or Eric Clapton. Both have pretty big catalogs

The one to which I've listened the most for the majority of my life: Rush.

Even if you're not a Rush fan, you owe it to yourself to watch this video. An incredible demonstration of their musical talent. This is what those in the music biz call "tight."

Def Leppard

Johann Sebastian Bach

U2, so much variety in their music over the years.

85 posts, and not one single person has named Nickelback yet.

:ROFLMAO:

Oof, tough call. Would have to be Elton John for me.

Since the Dead was already taken, I'm surprised no one said:

The Eagles

The amount of diversity in their music and laid back feel, that would be one I could listen to the rest of my life.

Oof. Can I just give up golf instead? ;)

I want to say AC/DC, but then I'd be cheating on Led Zeppelin.
If I say Led Zeppelin, then I'd be cheating on The Beatles.
If I say The Beatles, I'd be cheating on Rush.
If I say Rush, I'd be cheating on Genesis.

So I'm going to go with The Tragically Hip. Lock it in, final answer.

Lots of good responses here. As a music lover, of all genres, hard to choose just one. Hard to decide, my list would be:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
Metallica
Led Zeppelin/ Beatles (tie)
Bob Marley
2pac
Hank Williams, Jr.

Lol.

At first I thought Eagles but I guess I’m going Tom Petty

I don’t know how to narrow it down. There are so many artists whom I enjoy. I probably would have to go with Dan Fogelberg. He is so underrated, imo. His best music was not his most popular. He is the guy who inspired me to want to learn how to play guitar, so I have to choose him.

I’m a Deftones fan, but rest of my life would have to be The Beatles.

I'm going to have to say The Beatles I think. Not my favorite band in the world, but the sheer variety of their output and number of releases would hopefully keep it fresh for as long as possible. REM would be on the shortlist too, likewise Metallica, Pink Floyd and Pearl Jam.
