I bought this book back in the 90s. First published in 1946.
Found it very interesting although it was kind of opposite of the golf instruction I had been given.
In my round of golf on Friday, I chunked a few short pitch shots. Ugh. So Friday night I’m looking at YouTube videos and looking through my library of golf books and I remembered this one. so I employed his method on Saturday with really great results.
It’s really all about controlling the club, the club head, and swing with your hands. Forgetting about your body, just allow your hands to swing the club face to the back of the ball and then the direction you want. Never with a tight grip, the title of the book could also be called soft hands, yet in control of the club.
