I've been saying this for awhile. Team Callaway has a distinct advantage here.

1. New equipment for Team THP-getting used to new yardages, spin on wedges etc. is not that easy the first go round.
2. Course familiarity for Team Callaway
3. Team THP having to play competitive golf while posting, taking pictures-can't be easy.
4. Some on Team THP, depending on the year, might have limited on-course preparation heading up to the Grandaddy due to local weather constraints
5. I think the Shock and Awe of the whole experience, Callaway headquarters, ECPC and the Hideaway is real.
6. Pressure to win back the belt is real as well.

That being said-Team THP can pull this off and storm right back.

It’s a task that THPers live for the opportunity to participate in. I can see a few of your points. Shock and awe would swim as most settle into the round. Being fit by Callaway should result in clubs that require very little time to adjust to.

I can’t hit a fairway wood to save my life so interested to see what’s so special about it since jb said he’s also had troubles with it.

Speaking to StS, I would have tried it but no lefty options. when one shows up available I will give it a go. I think 9 of 13 others went for it, which should speak volumes. And did not hear a single negative comment after yesterday’s round out of them.

For all of those following, we've heard about some long drives. How good the fairways have played. There have been long putts dropped. Some pictures of great approach shots. Lots of good feedback on the white box balls. So...

Which redacted clubs/equipment are you most excited to learn more about?

For me it's the fairways. So much noise about them in testing and during the first round has me really curious. It's also one of the few clubs I have that isn't Callaway, yet.

The ball for me. A new ball that would catch my interest was not on my radar, but I'm super intrigued based on the tidbits that have been dropped in here.
