Totally random GD comment..... I was thinking about the 2025 GD.

Since the next GD will be #12, I had an idea on a theme for the next Captain to consider.

The 12th man

Honoring the driving force behind this event’s legacy: YOU (and members departed, e.g. 2024 MVP), the THP community.
The "12th Man" theme highlights how every member plays a vital role in supporting and celebrating this incredible experience. Whether you’re on the course, cheering from the forum, or sharing in the excitement, your passion and involvement make the Grandaddy the world's greatest AM event.

It felt like a fun theme and since it popped in my head this AM (randomly), I wanted to throw it out to the interwebs....
Apologies if this was already suggested in another thread.

Cheers

First, for some comedic humor: You do know there are 12 team members + AssCap already, right? :D

Second, and less poking fun, I think its pretty cool idea. We'll have to see what the new Cap things of it when the time comes. No doubt the engagement was fantastic this year and we ( the THP Community ) play a role in the success of the Grandaddy.

Thx. Did anybody ask Callaway if lefty will
be an option in the future in STS for us?
Yes. It was said it's the early release. "If popularity is there, and there is a want, the company that typically supports LH golfers the most, would make it happen."

I get that but don’t think you’re forced to pick one up just to participate in a thread. There’s plenty of ways to contribute to a thread without having the clubs.

I have never once bagged a hybrid because I have serious issues with them too.
Thanks man. That helps. After continually being told that everyone should hit hybrids, I've been on a "buy one hybrid a year" kick to try to find one that works for me. And still have a head still in plastic I haven't glued up yet as it was in transit when I was selected to go to Cali.

The UW is very promising for me, and I had no problem getting it up in the air at the Hideaway. I wish there was another model in a 23 degree for lefties and I would bag two of them.

I don't feel forced to do it by any means. If I do it, it will be on my own choosing. And will be because I want to give the new range a try.

Uhhh. How many team members?

I hate hybrids. Always have. I'd rather play a 2 iron than any hybrid. The UW's change that completely for me. The 19deg I got in 21 is still in my bag and one of my favorite clubs. Sometimes something just clicks and it works and you go....we where have you been all my life.

That being said I did try the new line of Hybrids from Callaway last year. Still not for me. Something about the visual. UW still rocks it though.

I can't hit hybrids at all. There is only one i've ever owned that i didn't have a 2-way miss with (the 2019 Callaway Apex) and i've beaten it to within inches of it's life.

I only use driving irons now

They need to see demand for it to stay, grow

To all the THP'ers in live action at GD and on this thread, I want to thank you for everything you do to make this event special. Yes, we provide you with sticks and an experience, but I don't think you realize how amazing and vital the bolt of passion you guys bring to us really is. We can forget why we do all of this daily, but when we see the smiles, the passion, the comments in the forums, and the overall electric vibe you ALL bring. It reminds us why golf and its community are second to none. I woke up Friday morning feeling energized to go go go. I have you all to thank for that. It's something I don't get in doses like that very often.

And for that, I'm grateful. Way to F'in go.

God Bless and Happy Holidays.

Nicely said and much appreciated for all you do for the THP community.

I like it and there's some originality to it, but the last two years there's been 14 playing teammates. '23 had an asscap making it 15 out there, this year 14. Who knows what next year brings, although we do know the AssCap makes a return. Mr. Finley and his team innovate and continually make this thing better and better every year.

The UW is an incredible club. I've had both generations in my bag and the newest one isn't leaving anytime soon.

That’s an interesting comment! Does Callaway really see themselves as the company that supports lefties the most? I don’t think they’d be the first company that comes to mind for me (as a lefty).

Number of models over the years says its accurate.

I just left so much out there day 1. The iron game was abysmal and I had 2-3 putts burn the edges. That’s golf though.
Ah new equipment. 😂 I kid! I was so locked into that match. And blame me for being a cooler and laying coin on you and @Joshnoble01

All on me dude. Duffing an iron 50 yards is not the way to win the hole after sitting 260 in the fairway
