CONTEST Live Update Thread – The 2025 Grandaddy of Em All with Callaway Golf

After some time in the bag, sim time and rounds ... right now what club has been the most surprising for you and why?
Most surprising is Max D 3W. So good. Normally 3W is the hardest club to hit. Not the case here.

The 3w is so easy to launch. The TD Max controls spin well all over the face with forgiveness.

The standout has to be how steady and consistent the hybrid is. I reshafted it out of curiosity given previous successes in the UST lineup but the club head is so forgiving and Fast.

Oh nice... great question.

I think it's the Max D driver for me. I have often struggled w/ driver as I am so inconsistent. Right now I am absolutely smacking it shot after shot. I knew these drivers were really good right away but for me personally it's just that I feel like I can "not sweat" (if you will) the tee shot on 4's & 5's.

Hmm.

Tough question, as I like my whole bag.

It's easy to say, but it's also very true, but I'll go Quantum Max Driver. Spin numbers are exactly where I want them. It feels powerful. And you only need to hit somewhere on the face to ha e a usable drive.

Close second is the Quantum Max 5w. So much fun.

Appreciation post from earlier this evening and looking at this gorgeous bag of clubs. Man, just so great!

For me, because of my past struggles, it is the TD Max.

I still have a hard time comprehending how I can feel like I make such a poor strike and still see 250 carry and a ball in the fairway. Even when I played a sim round today, I had some strikes that were ATROCIOUS and ended up 230 yards and in the fairway. That keeps you in the hole, and that is all you can ask for on mishits off the tee.

The face is just so forgiving, the head is extremely stable, and spin retention is excellent. I believe it to be a unicorn driver.

I love my Ai150s, but man, those Ti Fusions look SO GOOD
I went in hoping to fit into the AI150s or the Xforged Max.
While I’d love to game either of those still I have come to REALLY enjoy the Ti Fusions a lot. Honestly my entire bag is one that I don’t think I could be any more proud of.

And THAT is the ultimate goal!

How many people following the thread have made a Quantum purchase already?
Not yet but have a fitting at my club next Friday to test them out. Not sure it'll knock out the GT2 from my bag, but looking forward to hitting them all and seeing what happens

The Heaven Wood. I picked it up at launch and it has taken the place of my 5 wood currently. It hits the same numbers for carry and total distance but the descent angle being between 47-50 is what is outstanding. Easy to turn over and it’s just fun to hit!

Same here man! I love all of the clubs in the bag and wish I could have 15 because I don’t want to sideline my 5w for the HW! They’re all just so freaking good!

It’s a toss up between the hybrid and putter for me. I was anti hybrid going in and ended up with one in the bag. It’s been arguably the best club in the bag.

The putter is interesting for me because my lag putting is much better and I had to adjust to the insert coming from a milled putter. It’s been really solid.

Most surprising for me have been the Opus SP wedges. They’re incredibly consistent and hands down the best wedges I’ve ever gamed.

This answer could probably be different every day because there honestly isn't a bad club in the bag. I'm most enamored with the irons though. They are way easier to hit than I ever imagined they would be.

I almost said the putter. I know not everyone is a fan of the 1/2 ball, but thr Ai-Dual insert is wonderful. Soft. Connected. Best feeling insert, and putter, I've ever used. It'll take a lot to knock it out of the bag.

Callaway has a great lineup this season that can compete and win any head to head competition. Anyone have any specific questions about the releases that maybe the Grandaddy team can help with?

appreciate you coming back to it. This thread, the driver thread, the ball thread have all been illuminating. I have never been an equipment guy and prior to this thread had neither interest nor intent to visit any. Now I have visited several (full disclosure, not all the brand represented here) and that is in no small part due to the efforts of the team so well done.

Not really a question, but thought that was worth mentioning.

The fitting I got a Callaway ECPC has proven on course to be good for my game (at least todays round) I will probably swap out the 3 wood shaft next but I can't see a reason that I would need to change anything else at all.

Picked a random number and read through a handful of pages again this afternoon just to re live the week we had out there.

Man, all the feels came rushing right back in. Absolutely had the time of my life out there. What a crew.

Everyone from the prior teams told us we’d get the feels dude and I was looking for a dm and saw this and got hit with the feels this morning. Love this team

That was such a cool moment when I got mine!

I really think I nailed my golf bag at the Grandaddy. The only possible question I have about the bag is the 3w spot. It has nothing to do with the 3w. It is amazing when its swung like a fairway should be. I however seem to struggle with that skill set.

Was smoking it on the range not far behind driver distance during the fitting, while passing a kidney stone. Its the only club I question and its not even the clubs fault. Such a great experience
