I will try to keep this short and sweet as I'm still very upset. I decided to go and play 18 holes with a few friends of mine and use this opportunity to get some practice in for #THPLegacy. One the 8th hole I hit an approach shot that finished right into a grenade bunker. I used my 58 to blast it out, and then two putted. Played the 9th with no issues. At the turn my playing partners wanted to grab a couple of hot dogs, however I waited in my cart, playing on my phone. While inside the twosome that was behind me drove right past us to play the 10th. No problem, I would have let them played through with my friends inside. Get to the 10th hit my drive and then an approach that was well short. I had hit it fat. I was left with an uphill 71 yd shot, which would have been perfect for my 58. It would have been had it not been for the fact that I noticed my 58 was not in my bag. I immediatly drove back to re trace my steps to find. I asked several groups that I passed if they had seen my wedge, and no one had. By this point I had forgotten that there was a two some that had passed us. My friends went and caught up to them to ask them had they picked up my club. According to my friends one looked at the other and the other said "what kind is it?" They told them it was a Ping Gorge 58 with a blue and black NDMC. To which they said no. I was at the 8th at this moment looking feveriously for my 58. When i came back they said they asked the two some but something about them didn't sit well with them. I decided to hunt them down and asked them myself. When I found them, they told me they had not seen it and that they told my friends that they had not. I did a quick scan of there bags and cart when I left them and saw nothing.
Needless to say, todays round cost me my 58 and I'm not a happy camper. It is such a crucial club for me, especially since I am putting a great emphases on my pitches and wedge play for #THPLegacy. I hope everyone takes a lesson from me today and make sure all your clubs are in order after every hole. I hate to say it but I have strong urge that two some had it when they were first confronted and possibly ditched it before I came back, but that is just speculation. I left my contact info with the course in the hopes that someone would return it or find but I'm not holding my breathe.
