Some of you may remember that I attended this tournament last year and me and a friend are headed out shortly to go back again this year. At a minimum, we will attend the Friday and Saturday rounds. If my favorite, Georgia Hall, is in contention, I will convince my buddy to stay for the Sunday round as well. Luckily, the weather is much wamer this year tnan last.

This is a no cut tournament. The only LPGA tours pros that are invited to play in it are those that won a LPGA tournament in 2018 and 2019 and are members of the tour. The field is supplemented with celebrities from the sports and entertainment worlds. A lot of current and former baseball and football players, actors and comedians, and musical recording artists. There are a few amateurs in the tournament also to round out the field. They play in threesomes with a LPGA pro and 2 celebrities and/or amateurs in each threesome. The pros play with a different celebs/amatuers each day. There are 2 prizes awarded: one for the winning LPGA pro and one for the winning celebrity or amateur.

The atmosphere at the tournament is very loose and fun. The par 3 18th hole is a party atmosphere similar to the 16th at the Waste Management. DJ, music, player announcements, free flowing adult beverages, etc. And it is a bear of a hole. Around 200 yards with a pond looming large all the way down the left side of the hole. I saw pleny of splash downs last year and will likely see a lot more this year.

I will update this thread with pictures, updates, etc. over the next few days for those interested.

Looking forward to seeing some great pics again. Have a great time.

I'm so glad LPGA is starting up again.

Sounds like a great time, enjoy

Love the watching the celebrities play.

Good stuff @Sox_Fan! Look forward to your updates! Have fun and don't partake in too many of those free flowing adult beverages....

That 18th hole is brutal tough. You basically aim at the hotel or right of it and hope you don’t over hook it or block it.

Have fun Scott!! I have tickets, but won't be able to make since we are heading over to Dunedin instead. Looking forward to following along (the best I can).

This looks like a great tournament to attend. I saw on Lexi media that Larry Fitzgerald was out there!

Great to see some American ladies on the leaderboard!!! 19363E4D-4185-4DAE-90BE-B661DFBC8F46.jpeg

Finally caught up with Georgia on 15 tee. Serious walk to back 9 where she teed off.

Georgia is still gaming the Epic Flash driver

Approach to par 5 17th. Hit it to about 12 feet behind the hole.

Really nice weather out here today. A bit windy but sunny and mid 70's temp.

The beastly par 3 18th

Without being here, you can't really appreciate how hard this shot is. She put it to about 3 feet past the hole to save par

Par 3 3rd green. Greens appear to be pure and fast.

Par 3 5th. 200 yards with a serious hurting right to left wind. Celine Boutier aced it earlier today

Scott, I think you might need to give the lens of your phone's camera a quick wipe on your shirt or something.
