I don't if anybody is good at trig, can't find any other help so I'm asking here. thanks. Simplify: cosx/(secx-1). Thanks!

Not following where you raised sec to the -1...
Me or you? haha
cos(x)/[sec(x) - 1] + cos(x)/[sec(x) + 1]
= cos(x)[1/cos(x) - 1] + cos(x)/[1/cos(x) + 1]
= cos²(x)/[1 - cos(x)] + cos²(x)/[1 + cos(x)]
= {cos²(x)[1 + cos(x)]}/{[1 + cos(x)][1 - cos(x)]} + cos²(x)[1 - cos(x)]/{[1 + cos(x)][1 - cos(x)]}
= cos²(x) * [1 + cos(x) + 1 - cos(x)]/[1 - cos²(x)]
= cos²(x) * 2/[1 - cos²(x)]
= cos²(x) * 2/sin²(x)
= 2cos²(x)/sin²(x)
= 2[cos(x)/sin(x)]²
Answer = 2cot²(x).
Crap, I take trig next year, I'm screwed if it's like this ..
Why does your math have letters?? Lol, trig is/never was my strong suit, good luck!!
On my iPhone T.. T.. Tapatalking away!
I have trouble adding up my score on a golf hole.
