Ok, but not going to get crazy here. Another 4-dozen should hold me for awhile, but then, maybe another 4-dozen after that, next month.. That ought to hold me for a few seasons. Some rounds, I don't lose a ball, and some rounds, I lose 4-5 balls! I do have 2 of those $10 rewards to use. Last time I bought 4-dozen, I got $20 off, and each dozen cost $11 each, with tax incuded, at the store..

In case anyone is wondering, you can mix and match colors and still get the 2 or 4 dozen discounts. I ordered a dozen white personalized balls for an upcoming golf trip, and a dozen gloss yellow for myself, and it gave me the 2 for $35 deal.

I play the gloss yellow, and I am really feeling good about this ball! I used to play the matte version, but my wedges seem to love the gloss cover better. Season is over here till about April, dependent on the weather. I probably will buy more Softflis. Might try another Maxfli ball just to see if it can improve certain shots in my game, once I get my legs under me after the season begins...

Man, between snow, and did it get cold here!! I am done with this weather, and it is only January! I need to move to a warmer climate, so I can play more earlier in the year! Meanwhile, I have not been to Dicks, or Golf Galaxy for any more Softflis! I might start the season with what I have, and if I get going well enough, I might try a ball or two along the way! Never say never, but yeah, I do enjoy playing the Softfli, but, I can always try something else. I get that itch every so often to try another ball, but as I have in the past, return to what I like! I am very much interested in playing a 3-piece, but if I lose them faster than my gamer, why bother? And they are usually more expensive than what I am playing! So, not spending any money on golf balls just yet, but never say never! If they had a BIG closeout on Softflis to make room for the next year models coming in, I might be so inclined to buy a few...

So, I have been braggin' on my Softflis for some time now. I enjoy playing this ball, if none other than it does work for me, and if I lose a few, it doesn't hurt my wallet. Well, I have given thought to "trying" a better ball in the coming season! Once I get my golf legs under me, we'll give the Maxfli Tour S a go, as well as the Titleist Tour Soft. Urethane vs. ionomer.. One is very durable, while the other helps with spin...

I got me a Ping g430 hybrid in my bag, and I picked up a sleeve of Wilson Triads. On my wanting to try list..
The GolfBall Addict on YouTube had an interesting video where he was testing the compression of 2-piece golf balls. Tested the Cally Supersoft which is stated at 38 compression, and his testing it came in just under 60. And the same for the Maxfli Softfli. Stated compression of the Softfli is 35. One would think so, if you have ever played one. But that was not to be with this testing. Just under 60 also. So that could explain why this ball jumps off the clubface of my driver with my slower swing speed...

I've tested this ball over the winter during sim golf. It makes my T350s feel like a forged blade. And it flies crazy high

I tried it on the course for a hole last week during a round. With chrome tour X and cooler temps it was playing a full club short on approaches. I had 85 in which is my 56*. I hit the Soft-Fli into a soft green and it carried about 87 yds and rolled out about 40' and 3 jacked it. It went right back into the bag for me. All surlyn balls just seem unpredictable for me these days. Back to the CTX or V1X for me.

Well, stuff happens in golf! I don't think I ever had a Softfli roll 40' unless it was on the fairway! I usually come in high on my approaches anyway, so the ball hops twice, and then rolls 2'-6'.. Sorry it didn't work for you...

P.S. As an added note: I have had the Softfli go "bounding" across the green on a not so good approach, as in not getting the ball up, which is going to be a major focus for me and my game this year.. Just sayin'...
