I can’t find the link, but I remember seeing a Padraig Harrington putting lesson video where he advocated missing putts on the high side of the break because missing below the hole causes the last few rolls of the putt to carry the ball further away from the hole. This goes against everything I believed in, as I was always taught to give myself an uphill putt if I miss. My home course has severely sloping greens, and as we near summer, the firm and fast greens have me recalling Padraig’s instruction.
THP thoughts?
