Mizuno Pro 24X Irons - 241, 243, 245

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts. These are on my mind too.
They are fun so far. No golf yet, just some range sessions. The GW to 8 feel really nice…kinda surprised me tbh.
The tech is apparent to me starting at the 7 iron, but thinking these are going to be really fun.

I have mine setup so far one degree weak and the shaping/setup is really nice and confidence inspiring.
Playing tomorrow, so will let you know how it goes.

Have I mentioned how buttery smooth 243 is when you are swinging them well? Another nice ball striking day with them.
I love these irons. Gotta keep it going.

First round with 245 today. So much more forgiveness over my t150. I hit a 4i off the deck to 10 feet. These are amazing and feel great.

Played only 9 holes yesterday because the heat was a bit insane and I wasn’t feeling great. In the few shots I hit with my 245s, I could tell they are going to be really good.
Went to the range this am to work on some things and really getting into a groove with the 245s. Excited to try these some more.

Mizuno did a really nice job with the shaping and size of the 245s. GW to 8 iron feel is fantastic. 7 iron and longer have some power boost, which is welcome!

The more I hit the 245s the more I really enjoy them. The long irons are special…. Like super impressive. That furthest green (I need to laser it as a reminder but I think it’s like 235 or so) in the below picture is rarely ever touched with a smoked 4 iron for me and I was getting the 245 5 iron on the front edge…. 😳

Can’t wait to play my next round with them.

Thinking a 4 iron with a graphite shaft is in order!

The reason I keep wondering about it is because my miss with irons tends to be low on the face and/or out towards the toe. Most of the time it works out decent but impact feels bad and not the kind of ball flight that I enjoy looking at.

From everything that I’m reading about 245s here on THP, they would be pretty damn good for that miss.

I’m not going anywhere though just a little daydreaming is all.
I just ordered a 245 5 iron built to my spec as this is the club that I struggle with in the 243 the most when I'm not "on". Looking at my Arccos data confirms this as well. My averages are barely longer than my 6 iron. That isn't to say that I'm incapable of hitting the 243 (I've hit it well, just not very consistently) when I miss there the distance falloff just seems to be harsher than the rest of the bag. I like the option of switching out those clubs based on confidence/conditions etc. I'll let you know how it goes once it comes in. Besides this I have been so happy with my 243s, they are just a pleasure to hit every time.

Second round in the books with the 241s. These things are addictive to hit. Nothing I have ever hit is this smooth and soft. The 4 and 5 irons are more penal on mishits but welcome to a blade.

Gaming a 241 4 or 5 iron must be like…

The 5 iron is a breeze to hit to be honest. I have been playing blades or close to blades for as long as I can remember. I wouldn't consider my last set of irons as blades (Apex Pros) but close to. I hit that 4 iron better than the 241 4 iron but I will get dialed in on this 4 iron soon enough. Ball striking isn't my weakness. That would be putting

Nice! I was just messing.
I love blades, used to game MP68s and used them to win some fun things over the years.
I really think everyone should game a set of blades at some point in their golf career.

I have a full 241 set. I can hit them fine but there's nothing quite like tournament season to make you think about things lol. For me it's not just the ability to hit it but also the ability to flight it how i want.

I played in an event last week that had a 205yd hole with forced carry over water and a bunker, then a redan green that was decent sized but ran at 12. I just don't have that shot with a 241 blade.

With my 0317ST that has a CB 4 iron. That i can hit!

3rd round with these today. Shot a better than average score, so these things are keepers. Seem more forgiving , especially in the long irons.

We are officially on a 243 watch and ponder.

I have yet to get my 245s to translate to the golf course in terms of scoring really well (mostly due to limited on course time), but I know there is potential.

The longer irons are launchers....so may look at making them a bit more weak in loft.

Love the look of them in the bag. Odd comment, but the cavity-less backing is nice when wiping each iron clean.

5 rounds in and my GIR has never been this high for more than a round or two. I’m typically around 50%. Proximity is better too with the 245.

Ok so far switch to the 245 in the 5 iron has been a win for me, getting better/longer ball flight from some of the misses and frankly just have more confidence hitting this club than the 243. When I was standing over the 243 I think in my brain I was just honing in on I have to hit this perfect and with some speed and that was translating into bad shots. Whereas the 245 I don't feel like i have to kill it. Seeing totals in the 185-190 yard range which is what I expect from my sorry ass. Managed to put one on the fringe on 17 at the Navy Destroyer course and almost drained the putt for a bird (tap in pars are wonderful). But standing on that tee box I was happy to grab the 5 iron rather than trying to choke down on my 4 hybrid. I will keep the 243 5 and try to work it back in if my confidence level improves.

Doing a little digging in to my ShotScope 7i stats 923HL to Pro 245 Irons.
Mind you that Approach shots are the worst part of my game.

923 HL:

245's:

I'm 7 yards closer with the 245's over the 923HL's
Sometimes I wonder if the 245's are too much for me however why I see stats like, they're just fine thank you....

A little late to the party here but been following along. I just got fitted last Friday for the 245’s and fitter advised it should be 2-3 weeks turnaround time, to my surprise got a call today the irons are ready for pick up. It was exactly 7 days turnaround time which was much quicker than I anticipated!
