Mizuno Pro Modern Series: M-13, M-15, and Fli-Hi Bring Speed and Forged Feel Together

I'm forecasting a long deep ponder over the M15 with a 105s MMT this offseason.

Man, that club is going to haunt my dreams

I got to hit M13/M15 today. Only the 7i fitting head it was paired with Nippon 115, which is a shaft I tend to get along well with.

I'm not sure how Mizuno did it, but they made a better sounding and feeling iron than my 243's. I would have never thought it possible. 243 has been the pinnacle of sound and feel for me over the past 2 years. Adimittedly I didn't need a whole lot of convincing but I'm almost certain a M13/M15 combo will be the iron set I start 2026 with.

If I had to make a decision right now, I'd go 5/6 M15, 7/8/9/PW M13. I could potentially be convinced to go M15 in 7 Iron.
Do you think with the design of the long irons in the M13s, you’d still want to go M15s? I know the M15s will add even more help, but sounds like they’ve focused on keeping ball speed and launch up on the long irons there.

I really like them. I will say that I think I like the 3DP Tours more, but these are quite nice.

That's fair, as I could see playing either set and being very happy about it. The Tours are a good analogue for these in terms of size as well

My thought there is that 5 and 6 are the two clubs I hit the worst in my 243 set so maybe I'd do better with m15 in that spot.

And combo sets are fun.

Ohhhhhhhh, that is going to be a fun pairing! Are they getting the special Arrow shafts too?

No sir. Just a regular set.
I’m fairly committed to going lighter this year and have 3 sets built up with lighter than these, but figured I would take a set I have on hand and plug in here

For you, why is that? Both seem to be outstanding sets.

Do they even need to Combo? From what I read they already kind of self combo within the set.

Currently probably familiarity.
I have yet to hit a set in this size with as much low face forgiveness as those.

The M-13 felt good, but the M-15 felt effortless. I like the thought of gaming effortless irons

Based on multiple reviews and Mizuno’s staff comments, the thinking is that the long irons n the M-13’s are very close if not indistinguishable from the M-15 in that space.

Given that the M-13’s were built to be a combo set within themselves I think you should try to see how you can test and compare the long irons of the M-13 vs. the M-15.

The other thing to consider in building a combo set of M-15/13 in the long irons is the adjustment of the lies to ensure as seamless a blend as possible.

Based on the reviews and readings I decided to go M-13 from 5-GW. I will have them in hand this Wednesday and the. Need to get re-shafted but will report back on my findings on the M-13 5 iron.

I'm really excited to hear your feedback on them! I'll be paying close attention. I won't end up putting an order in until probably around late February.

Excited for you. The M-13 just has that Mizuno look that I always feel comfortable standing over. My first name brand clubs were Mizuno.

Say hello to little friends. Going to builder to get reshafted and spec’s out.

i hit the m13 and m15 today. i made about 30 swings with the m13, and one swing with the m15. m15 was good, definitely a ball speed monster and a nice shape, but the m13 is SPECIAL.

blade length wasn't too bad, but that top line is SMALL. my sim place has the full fitting cart, but for today's informal test he just gave me the stock 7i head with the same $ taper shaft i have in my current irons. most of the first batch of m13 strikes were draws carrying about 165 with spin in the mid 4k range. that was surprising to me. the owner felt that the low spin and draw shape was a lie angle issue. he asked me to hit a cut. my version of the cut spun about 1k rpm more, but carried the same distance! i was pretty shocked.

the m13 was just so freaking consistent. even mishits were only punished by less than half a club.

it's the most impressive iron i've hit, maybe ever. i'll be scheduling a fitting, and making a purchase.

Want to hit the new Fli Hi.... 4 and maybe the 2..
