Mizuno Pro Modern Series: M-13, M-15, and Fli-Hi Bring Speed and Forged Feel Together

This is one of, if not, the most in depth feature story anywhere on the internet on this line.
Really well done and I cannot wait to get more swings in with them.

I really like the progression with the M-13 irons. It's basically a combo set without being a combo set.
That was also my take away. Even if some other sets are like this calling it out in the release is pretty awesome.

Nice write up @Hawk
Some beautiful irons no doubt. The M-15 is really interesting and one I’d like to hit.

I was really digging the Tour Edge CB/MB combo and may have even said I didn't think anything else in the irons department would really beat that in my eyes.

I was completely wrong with the very next iron release...lol.

The M-13s say "player" just enough for me to be insufferable about it...but provide just enough forgiveness to make sure I don't embarrass myself any more than the rest of my game does.

These will be in that sweet spot for a lot of people, I know almost all brands make something that's sort of close and similar in their line ups - but the question is, will they also look as good as these player-adjacent but still player'ish ones.

It's hard to beat Mizuno irons when it comes to the overall aesthetics package. Some of the reviews I've already watched this morning say the feel is incredible...which is expected with Mizuno irons - one said the M-13s even feel better than his ZXi 5s.

I dont know who would compare those as they are different in every single way, but video reviewers never cease to amaze me.

Mizuno’s iron story has always been rooted in feel. For decades, the brand has built its reputation on Grain Flow Forging, precise shaping, and an almost stubborn dedication to feedback. But modern golfers are asking for more than just purity at impact. They want speed, forgiveness, and consistency in a pleasing looking shape, all without giving up […]

Awesome write up! I am loving the s-3's and these are going to be a must hit at some point.

Fantastic write up. Really great dive into each of these. I have always liked what Mizuno does iron wise. These are gorgeous. I really like the idea of the m13s with the progressive construction, but the m15s sound like where i need to be. The stock shaft difference is interesting to me. I like the Nippon Modus shafts in the M13s but really don't know enough about the AMTs being offered in the M15s.

I like how the Fli-Hi is designs toblend into the sets. Very well thought out and designed. Great looking release all around.

I wish I would have waited 5 months for these to come out but I’ll still have to give the M-13s a swing even though buying new irons probably isn’t in the cards this year.

I was very close to going with the 243s on my last set and these look even better.

Makes sense, confidence over the ball is massive, I like that you actually go look at and try things as opposed to blacking out and fearing divorce like I do 🤣🤣🤣
Thankfully I have a lot of good local shops in my area, makes is easy to swing by and see in hand.

Great write up @Hawk!

Man, the M-13s are gorgeous looking irons and really like the progression in the set. Probably eliminates the need to blend. However, the M-15s look like they're right up my alley. Played the 225s for 1.5 years and absolutely loved them. Didnt buy the 245s, but hit them several times and they were fantastic as well. I'm sure the M-15s continue the trend.

Did I also read 50g of tungsten?! The 245s upped the tungsten by a lot compared to the 225s, but I think the M-15 is even more than the 245s. These should be a lot of fun to hit.

Also I will 100% be buying that 16.5° FLI-HI.

The Fli-Hi’s are something I’ve gone back into the article a couple times already to look at again.

While I can’t hit the 16.5, hahaha, I do love a Fli-Hi in that 4i slot historically.

What’s intriguing you the most on that one?

Crazy jealous of that out here in the middle of nowhere.

REALLY can’t wait to see what you think when you finally get to see them.

Great article @Hawk

These clubs are gorgeous and love all the tech fit into something that looks largely traditional.

Agreed. Really enjoy the "Who is this For" section of the article.

Mp15 are awesome looking as well as the mp 13. They will probably going in the bag.

The M-15 with the forgiveness sound right up my alley. And they look stunning too.

SO much tech.

What’s catching your eye the most?

I have a Mizuno MP5 I still use to practice with because I always like to get back to a baseline of what I 'used" to think was a perfect feel on a center strike. Most of the MP series that followed over the years stayed with the same grain flow forged feel/sound and didn't put too much extra tech in the M line. It seemed Mizuno used the JPX line for going outside the box. I know the M series had the MMC thing before, but this M series seems not just a small departure from keeping it the same but a large departure. The entire set from top to bottom is put together in a way to use tech for each irons purpose as opposed to just doing the same thing and moving weight around progressively.

@JB the 245 7i has a 10° bounce and the M15 has a 6° bounce. Might be a “Lunatic Fringe”question however would the M15 be a little better in firmer conditions because of less bounce?

Agreed. Really enjoy the "Who is this For" section of the article.
I appreciated that section. it was a nice way to kind of wrap up each release in a short paragraph.

M-15 targets golfers looking for maximum forgiveness and consistency while retaining forged feel and clean aesthetics. - this sentence from that section resonates with my game.
