That's awesome! Those are a couple real big firsts, man. Congrats.Quick Update:
Not only did I break 80 for the first time on Sunday, but it got my handicap below 10 for the first time down to a 9.7, so the best of both worlds I guess.
Congratulations, great job! Two goals met at the same time is a great accomplishment!Quick Update:

Yep, it certainly does depend on the course. On my home course, an 82 has a differential of 14.2 from the combo (blue/white) tees. To get down to a 6 differential you have to shoot a 73 from those tees, and to be a single digit handicap you have to average shooting around 75-76 - big difference!I think it depends on the courses you play. You can be a single digit and never break 80 if you play exclusively hard courses. Like yesterday I shot an 82 but had a differential of 6.7.
First congrats on your improvement. Improvement begins with goals. IMO, you should break 80 first as it demonstrates continual progress. The single digit will hopefully follow. IF it were me thatI've been playing some fairly consistent good golf the past 3 weeks. My Handicap has gone from its highest in the past 2 year of 13.2 (about a month ago) to the lowest it has ever been to a 10.5. My two big golf goals have been to break 80 and eventually make it to a single digit handicap. I've been close to breaking 80 the last 4-5 rounds, but can't quite get there yet. So, what do you think is more impressive or a better goal to have; breaking 80 or a single digit handicap?
