Most You Would Pay for a Round

I would probably put it at 1K for a total bucket list course. I would pay more than that for Augusta National but that is a pipe dream anyway.

I got to play Fisher’s Island last summer and the golf wasn’t that expensive but I think I spent $750 in the pro shop.

Even if I've been invited somewhere for free, if I know the cost is a lot there is that weird sense of pressure I get to play my best or fully enjoy it and I've had some stinkers in there

Over the years have learned it's just golf and just enjoy it to the max...and as the saying goes, no one cares what you shot
Lol what's this good golf you speak of. Im just trying to not buy balls at the turn

You mean to say that your rounds for the Mizuno cup were not some of the most memorable for you?
I look at a THP Experience as a different animal. I also got to hang out with great people, a set of clubs, lots of swag, food, etc. I'd pay whatever the cost to enter an experience. Otherwise, paying several hundred dollars to go out and lose balls on a nice course just doesn't interest me.

Thats a good point. If I am going to play some of these nicer places its generally with someone. I do not think I'd pay more than 100$ to play as a single.

If money is not an issue then I will pay a good amount to play Augusta or any of the other bucket list courses.

My current financial situation, I would have a hard stop around $500.

Would love to give an answer, but I do not know my limit for the few bucket list courses on my list. For anything else probably $300.

Thinking that travel would be involved no matter what, I'd rather play three or four good courses than one great one, and the rest of the time spent at the outlet mall.

I would limit out around 250.00 as I think even that is a little crazy to play a round of golf. But I am jaded because I actually enjoy Sim golf and can and have already played a lot of the expensive courses on the Sim. Please no boo's or tomato throwing, haha. My parents have a condo at the Hughes center right by the Wynn Golf club in Vegas and every time I go up my mom offers to foot the bill for the green fees but I still just can't do it.

$600 - $700, but something really special would need to be going on.

Our 3rd course in our little town is the Cascada GC. Its a pretty expensive, semi private course and is mostly for the high rollers visiting the hotel/casinos in Vegas. Twice a year they let us locals play here for a special rat f $130.00. That's coming up soon. I will play it on that day. It will probably cost me around $250.00. 4 of us will make a day of it.

I got to play Cascata through a friend of a friend who is a high roller and gets comped rounds. All we had to pay was the caddy gratuity ($75/person). It's a really nice course, one of the nicest I've played, but rack rate right now is $300 and I'm not sure I'd pay that to play it again.

$400 and that would put a hurt on the wallet.

I'm either a cheap a$$ or not good enough, or both,..... but I can't see me paying much more than $300, maybe $400 is my limit. My biggest enjoyment is getting to play with my friends, and that could be anywhere.

I think if I’m just going out and playing by myself, even if it’s a bucket list/memorable course, my limit is probably around $400-$500. If it’s with a group of friends to a bucket list course, that might creep up a little, but not much.

If it’s a bucket list course under special circumstances like Pebble days after the U.S. Open, I’d be willing to go a little higher on each scenario.

I've paid to play Pebble so at least that much i guess. If its somewhere that I really want to play .

I would have a real hard time ever paying more than $300. And even then, would need to be in a place where other options don't really exist. I don't get super worked up about where I am playing that much. I just want to play, and around here, you don't have to pay all that much to get a decent course that I'll enjoy to play golf on. I'm not out here trying to set records or anything.

The most I have paid so far is 395 euros. I hope to play Pebble next summer, so at least there. There are plenty of courses where I would consider selling a kidney for the chance / would find a way to pay almost anything under a few grand for those true once in a lifetime type places. Most more accessible courses I would cap around $1,000 tops. (Bearing in mind I usually pay like $65 per round, so these would truly be a once in a few years special occasion using bonus money or something.)

I played there once for a $100.00 dollars. That was price they gave us after spending $20K, to have my Granddaughter's wedding there. I think most of that $100.00 went to the caddies.

It is a well maintained course. I forget which hotel/casino sponsors it.

There’s some subjectivity to this answer but I’d cap it at $1000 if it’s some place truly special

My special is different than other peoples special. I'd pay $500 in a heatbeat to play The Hideaway again. But I almost certainly wouldn't consider that(and more) for Pebble. Pebble isn't special to me. It's a beautiful course but that itself, doesn't mean a lot to me.
You can get us on The Hideaway for $500? When are we going? :ROFLMAO:

I’m either not a good enough golfer or a cheap ass. I’m thinking about 350 would be my limit for a single round.

Now if it’s a golf trip at something like Pinehurst and some of the courses are included in the stay but it’s 300 to play #2 I’d do something like that.

There's no mention of it on their website, but I believe it's the Caesar's Entertainment Group.

I paid $500 to play Harbor Towne last year & realized that would be my limit. That in itself was not worth it 😕
I was all set to play it with @Browndog, but fortunately @brotherdave wanted to join us which meant we had to play one of the other courses on property. I will forever be indebted to Dave as he saved me from myself that day  I would NOT have been a happy camper had I ponied up for HT.
