Any of you guys hit the trails? Couldn't really find a dedicated thread on this.

I've been debating on getting into biking. I'm on Strava now, but just running at the moment. One of these days I'm going to splurge and get me a bike. One of my coworkers is on there for biking, and he's been trying to get me to get a bike as well.

I'm just getting into riding, but am on Strava.

On Strava as well though I haven't rode much in a couple of years.

That's great boys. I took about 15 years off and now I'm just getting back into it on a much less hardcore fashion.

Come find me on Strava.

@RustyCasino
Same story, rode in high school and just getting back into it after 15 years.

Let's follow each-other breaking some bones.

Did a lot of riding and racing when I was in high school as cross training for baseball. Most of the tracks in my area of VA are more flat courses but there are some with some good hills. Don't really ride a lot now even though there are three tracks in a 20 minute drive of me. Still have my 99 Cannondale Super V 400. It pulls my daughter more than anything now but is still in pristine shape other than paint scratches here and there. Here is a picture of one I'll grab one of mine when I walk out to the shed.

I’m on Strava. Ryan Johs.

I do both Mountain and Road, more road based on convenience of riding straight from the shop every night I can.

I ride quite a bit... it’s what has kept me off the course a lot over the past couple years...

I’m on Strava... maybe we should make a club for THP.

I ride a hard tail but not as much as I'd like to. I'm always contemplating getting something for some fun downhill riding, again thinking about it for this coming spring.

No idea how to make a club, but I'm in.

I'm not sure how long I'll be on the sidelines, I had a good get off tonight.

I am on strava as well SJ L. Haven't done much riding in the past couple of years. Hopefully that changes in 2018. I only do road anymore, gave up the mountain bike about 15 years ago.

Joined. Thx.

@rustyCasino looking good brother. I used to own a pretty nice huffy my dad got from Target when I was kid. I have a buddy who lives in Tahoe who mountain bikes and that hobby can get rather pricey.

New to MTB, and currently on Strava with no rides. Got a sweet bike instead of new clubs because I needed a fun way to get some exercise. Still working on getting my fitness up but it’s been a blast. Been riding 2-3 times a week for a month and a half. Mostly DH/XC. Only one biff it so far.

My bike before I took off the reflector and added the Invisiframe. 2017 Intense Spider Expert build.

Not on Strava but do a mix of road and trail between four bikes. It's our clubs road season, so I'm only on the trails casually.

Do mostly road but got a Gravel Bike this past fall and LOVE IT! So many other roads here in FL we seem to go by and now able to hit them on the gravel bike. Also nice as the wider tires work great when doing night rides. With the crappy weather we have had all week this has been my go to bike. Joined the Strava group if that’s ok?

Bumping this back up. The wife and I want to get a mountain bike and hit some of the local trails.

What is a good budget mountain bike for offroad trails? Does not need to be extra fancy. Hoping to stay under $250 each. There is one bike that I saw some reviews on that seems to be solid, so, that is kind of where my search is in this point. Kent Thruster KZ2600. Any reviews on that?

You are in one of the best MTB areas in the state! I live in VB but go up there to ride James River trails (buttermilk, north bank, forest hills etc). I would go to a local bike shop and talk to them about what you are looking for. A good shop will work with you to get fitted and probably give you a deal if you are buying two bikes. Look for a good frame that you can upgrade parts on as they wear out.

Great looking cross bike!

‘‘Tis the season again. Any of you guys out on the trails again?
I’m enjoying some riding before we get surrounded with forest fire smoke and most of our parks close due to forest fire concerns.

Took my Alberta buddy out the other day. He gets pissed that this park is right outside my back yard.
