For Philadelphia
1. The Liberty Bell!
2. A Cheese steak
3. Chickies and Pete's---> Best sports bar in North America
4. South Street
5. Can't think right now

I'm in Bellingham, WA. I've only been here two months, but tops for me would be:

1) Go to Mt. Baker Ski Area/Heather Meadows to ski or hike (depends on season)

2) Drive the Chuckanut Drive down to Burlington, WA and continue to Deception Pass near Anacortes - an incredibly gorgeous set of cliffside ocean views

3) Walk the Interurban Trail from the Chuckanut Mtns towards Fairhaven and Boulevard Park

4) Eat at Boundary Bay Brewing Co., with a view of the waterfront, preferably at sunset.

5) Head up to BC and check out Vancouver and drive the Sea to Sky Highway.

Honorable mention - PLAY GOLF! We have lots of great courses around, I haven't experienced any goat tracks so far.

Michigan:
So many cool things here.

#1 Mackinac island- Mackinac Bridge no motorized vehicles on the island. Has a golf course where a horse drawn carriage is involved. Awesome fudge is made there. The bridge is a 5 mile suspension bridge connecting the two Michigan peninsulas. There is a Labor Day bridge walk every year also.

#2 Traverse City - great area. Beautiful scenery Cherry Festival is a lot of fun. Head out on a wine tasting tour out on Mission point. You won't be disappointed.

#3 Sleeping bear dunes- a huge sand dune on the shores of Lake Michigan still as fun to climb today as it was when I was a kid

#4 Salmon Season on Lake Michigan take a charter from August until October and hold on!!!

#5 The upper peninsula want to get away from it all?
The upper peninsula offers natural beauty, Wildlife, seclusion. It just feels different up there.

Also Michigan ranks among the top golf friendless states! Now that's something we can all get behind!!

Looking into coming to your side of the lake next summer as we have never been proably stay along the
western side looked into doing the lake express but at $450.00 we'll take the scenic route. Any places we should do or see???

There is not a ton of awesome stuff to do in KS. We have a few cool things, but nothing that's going to make you stop and post it to Facebook right away.

-The Air and Space Museum in Hutchinson is pretty cool
-You have to go to a home opener game at Arrowhead just to tailgate and see how LOUD it really is when the Cheifs are playing good. (Hasn't happened in a while)
-You have to try the BBQ in KC (Missouri side, too)

Depends on where you're staying.
Sleeping bear dunes along Lake Michigan, Traverse city is over there, Ludington area had some cool beaches.

Quad Cities

John Deere Pavillion - Moline is the home of JD and the pavillion is a big building with displays and tractors that you can get in. There are sims and other things as well. Free of charge and kiddos love it.

Rock Island Arsenal - This is the largest government owned arsenal in the US. It sits on an island that has history going back to pre Civil War times. Mix of humongous manufacturing sites and some cool historic homes. Neat museum and a pretty nice little golf course as well. At 5pm, whether you are playing or practicing, you are expected to stop, take off your hat and face the direction of the flag while Reveille plays, cannons get shot off, and the flag gets taken down for the day. A very unique thing that always makes me smile. Has a huge military cemetary as well.

Gambling! - We were the first in the state to get Riverboat gambling back in the 90's. Now the push is to land-based casinos, but we still have one Riverboat. Iowa allows smoking and IL doesn't, so you can choose your casino accordingly.

Harris Pizza - Quad Cities style pizza is unique, with a malty crust, a fine ground blanket of sausage, and all toppings under the cheese. Nothing else quite like it.

Breweries - We have three great breweries in Bent River, Great River, and Front Street. Always fun to do a little tour.

Honorable mention to TPC Deere Run, home of the John Deere Classic. It's a sporty course that can be fun to play if you can hit the ball reliably straight.

Kansas City:

1. KC BBQ (Oklahoma Joes, Arthur Bryants, Jack Stacks, Gates)
2. Arrowhead to watch a Chiefs Game
3. Negro League Baseball Museum
4. College Basketball Experience
5. Tons of Art and Fountains

Anyone care to do one for Atlanta? I'm visiting there next week...

I'll give it a stab.

1. Centennial Olympic Park area - many things to do nearby:
*The Georgia Aquarium - world class facility featuring whale sharks. Also a non-profit so all moneys go back to running the facility.
*The World of Coca-Cola - museum on all thing coke.
*CNN - take the tour and see one of the world's leaders in news reporting.
*Ferris Wheel - a new giant ferris wheel opened adjacent to the park this summer.

2. Stone Mountain - a state park with many attractions. largest granite outcrop in the eastern US. Trails, waterpark, laser show, hike to the top or take a gondola ride.

3. Pro sports- Braves (baseball), Falcons (football), Hawks (basketball). Great facilities for all three teams.

4. Shopping - head to Buckhead and visit Lennox Mall or Phipps Plaza. Sweeping malls with tons of shops.

5. Live music. Atlanta is a great music town with venues of all shapes and sizes. From local acts to national acts check it Creative Loafing online to see who will be in town during your visit.

6. History -
*Kennesaw Mountain. A national battlefield park from the Civil War with a great museum.
*Cyclorama - giant civil war era 360 painting of the battle of Atlanta.
*Martin Luther King center. Museum and gravesite of the civil rights leader.
*Carter Center - Presidential library of former US President.

7. Atlanta Zoo - Pandas but not the Freddie variety.

8. Restaurants - big food town, great restaurants of all types and prices in town.
Go to The Vortex for a great burger.

Tons more but this is getting long.
