I think that posting the specific rule is a cop out. The ump can exercise some discretion and didn’t necessarily have to be so quick with the ejection.

Ump is charmin soft. Can’t eject a coach in the first inning of a national championship game. Peak #umpshow

Yes, they can eject the coach. See Rule 3-6 f note 1. Seriously though, Mr. Blue needed to have a little thicker skin.
