When engineering a better design or a more effective solution to a specific problem, the path can lead to an unconventional approach. Whatever the product, if the visuals undergo such a drastic change, there will understandably be some resistance to it. This phenomenon isn’t exclusive to golf, but let’s face it, the golf world tends […]

Great writeup! This bag has a lot of thought into it but I’ll pass. I don’t know that I could handle the openness in the front haha.

Im very curious THPers takes here, because we hear so often about the need for organization of 14 way bags and a place for everything, combined with no clubs clanking around at all. This does all of that, better than anything, and then adds possibly the perfect base for golf carts and more storage.

I’m here for the reactions on this and I *think* I know which way they will slant. I make mention of it, it seems that every element is well thought out. Even down to the rubber organization at the bottom to protect shafts and easily handle grips up to jumbo max size.

Also if you ever wonder what you need to game to be known as “the guy with the bag” at a Dormie property…this is it. It caused some much conversation between the guys working the bag area, the caddies, and other members at the course.

@ddec I just have to say that this was one of the best reviews you've written. So thorough and well thought out. Answered every question that popped into my mind as I was reading.

Obviously my first reaction when I saw this was along the lines of "gross". You really managed to open my mind though. It's very unconventional, but it represents some really forward-thinking progress in the bag space, which hasn't really changed much in a long time.

The fact that it's really only going to work on a riding cart means I can't really make it work for my needs, but I 100% would check this out if I rode exclusively.

Appreciate it man.
I will say, and you know this, every push cart is a bit different in how it holds a bag. It just wasn’t stable enough for me on the two mentioned. So it *could* work on others, but it’s definitely best suited for a riding cart.

Yea, I can see a couple trouble spots. First, the straps on push carts want to have a larger surface area to stretch against. Was the base an issue too? For what it's worth, I think the base is genius in the context of a riding cart.

Amazing on a riding cart. For the base, just be more rectangular caused some fits on the push carts. I feel like the bungees didn’t get as much surface area to really get that snug fit.

Yea that makes sense.

Either way, there are a whole bunch of people out there that want organization, no chatter, and ride exclusively.

The icing on the cake would have been if you were playing a square driver and metalwoods 😁

In all seriousness though, this bag is a great example of starting with a blank slate and letting form follow function. The design mitigates several flaws with standard bags on riding carts, organizes clubs in a logical manner, and still provides plenty of places to put stuff.

It’s obviously optimized for riding carts, so that will eliminate it from consideration for some, but it makes incredible sense for players who play all or most of their golf riding.

Ultimately, this bag will likely find a small group of die hards that swear by it while everyone else views it as a curiosity. Nostalgia and tradition permeate the game, including equipment and accessories.

Looking at the base I’m guessing one could fabricate a base adapter that engages the bottom channel of the Nevr Looz and gives the push cart bungees more “meat” to hold on to.

@ddec I’ve been looking forward to your write up on this ever since I saw that you had it in use. Definitely not for me as I’m mainly a push cart user, but it’s nice to see a company thinking outside the box and trying new ways of solving problems. I don’t see why someone wouldn’t consider this if they’re primarily a cart rider

It's not the prettiest bag. I don't think I'd buy one, but I like the idea.

I love the ingenuity. Would I use it now? Nope - I walk and use push cart a lot.

If I lived in a golf cart community where the bag was permanently on the cart, I could see using it. So maybe some day?

Its certainly different, different isn't always good or bad though. The design is well thought out and I particlularly like the way the bag fits on the cart at the bottom. It's not a bag for me even though I ride most rounds. I don't care about organization and personally like the sound of clubs clanking around in the cart

Question @ddec is it heavy?

I have the same thoughts and for the time being most of my golf is walking with my electric push cart and I chose a cart bag for it that mates with my Alphard perfectly.

Very interesting bag and a great write up. They do have other models of bags but they all look like they have a similar squared off bottom shape. Prices are on the high side as well.

Thanks for the excellent write-up as always @ddec. Very slick design and $280 not as pricey as I assumed it would be as I read through your description. I use an E-Cart so will have to wait until NEVR LOOZ or someone else comes up with a suitable fit hack to look into one seriously. FWIW I don't give a rat's a$$ about club chatter but personally prefer 14 way bags to eliminate the potential grip tangle I often run into with 4-6 ways. Tangle slows things down and impacts grip wear IMO. What's the grip interaction like with the rubber thingies on the NEVR LOOZ? Pretty smooth?

Great writeup! Love all of the little details ( the putter wells on EITHER side is brilliant tbh )

Hmmm… I’m intrigued.

First thank you @ddec for the write up and overall review.

When I first saw this one I wasn\'t sure what to think. After reading the first thing that came to my mind was the 14 way users will love this. I don\'t mind the open design and the clip system is pretty cool actually. I think where this one stands out is not only with the club organization, but with the strapping and base system to make it as secure as it can on a cart. I am curious how this would work on a push cart.

Either way and a cool concept that should make the 14-way crowd and those who want to minimize club chatter happy.

Nice write-up @ddec. This is pretty unique, but those putter wells aren’t my favourite. Looks like a piece of PVC pipe got added on as an afterthought.

I was at Hidden Creek with @ddec and got to see this bag up close and in action. When he brought it in the Crenshaw house my initial thought was I really liked the organization of the bag. There was tons of storage but the open part of the bag was just throwing off the looks for me.

As we were going over the bag I picked it up and was blown away with how light this bag is even loaded up with all of @ddec gear in there. I also like how nothing moved when I picked it up the clubs stayed perfect in the clips.

The base of the bag might be my favorite part. I hate when a bag moves around on a cart. The design with the lip to keep it from twisting is excellent. When we were out playing the afternoon round the Nevr Looz was solid. It took @ddec no time at all to remove and replace a club. All of the clubs had easy access also.

My big dislike is the tubes for the putter. They just do not look good to my eye. If I lived in a golf community and had a golf cart and never removed a bag this would be a contender 100%.

Nice review @ddec it was fun getting to see you try this out for the first time.

Great write up. As a walk and carry guy, it’s obviously not for me, but I love it when a company sets out with a purpose and sticks to it. At some point, I’m sure they had to stop and look at each other and think “ do we really want to built this thing?” :ROFLMAO:

that thing is a trip. I respect a lot of the thought that went into it. The name is so un-serious though.

I'd really have to see one in person I think to ever jump on something like that.

Great review, @ddec

I am not a fan, at all. Not my style of preference but I know the 14-wayers will drool over this one.

With that said, the bottom piece that is meant to secure it better to the cart is absolutely brilliant. That needs to be a must on all cart bags. Love that feature.
