Got out yesterday for 9 at Bungay Brook. The first round of the year rust was real but not horrible for a couple months off! The greens were rolling really well for early in the season too.
 
Does anyone happen to know if there is any courses open in southern Vermont yet?

How about playing golf in 70* temps, shorts and a polo today ☀ and tomorrow night its going to snow 6-8 inches. 🤮
 
Here are some pictures of Bretwood in Keene NH last Thursday 4/8/21. My first round if the year and first time at Bretwood. I played the South course, there are easily 8 covered bridges on that 18 alone. Fun course.

I love bretwood. We always do a 36 hole day or two there during the summer.
 
Awfully quiet here, guys must be shooting lights out and keeping it quiet. 😀
 
I hear ya, or actually don't. Been a tough start to the year with work and boiler killing some golf days. Playing Green Meadows on Sunday and Tewksbury CC again Tuesday morning.

Actually I shot the best round I'll shoot all year last Saturday...75. I ain't that good; just couldn't miss a putt with no three putts all day. I don't recall the last time that happened. I shoot low 80s on my home course and break 80 a handful of times a year. That was goin' low for me.

Hey, I belong to a small, really nice course in Western MA. Me and Bernoulli are gonna tee it up sometime before too long. If any of you find yourselves visiting the Berkshires of Western MA this summer, give me shout, I'd love to host you~
 
I have been playing once a week but my son is in lacrosse season for a couple more weeks so it limits my playing time somewhat. I am about ready to get into playing at least two or three times a week as the weather gets better.

Overall my game is pretty solid so far this year but my short game hasn't been as sharp as I would like. That said I haven't been practicing at all yet either.
 
Shot a 93 today. been working on the swing and starting to see some results.
I wish the weather would clear up. Last year it hardly ever rained it seemed.

Headed to Crown Point in Springfield on Sunday to officially kick off my season. Very excited and nervous lol
 
I'm playing Passaconway in Litchfield NH tomorrow morning. Going out on a limb and saying it will play soft! This will be the first round since getting the diagnosis I have arthritis in my right hip. It has given me problems for a few years now and I finally waved the white flag and went to an orthopedic. I've been doing a hip mobility and stretching routine daily and it seems to be helping somewhat. Hey, it works for Brady! A pain free 18 is the goal, regardless it will be great to get out.

Best of luck to you. My hip arthritis advanced during the summer of 18 where I had to have hip replacement in April of '19. Here, two years out I'm completely pain free so I'm glad I had it done.
 
I got invited to play Berkshire Hills CC in Pittsfield MA this morning. It's a really nice and very challenging Tillighast design....Arnold Palmer played there! Low 40s with a stiff breeze....cripes, as if the course isn't tough enough!

Got out for 9 holes the other day at Charles River. Course was in mint shape and the greens were rolling at near 12 with the greens being dried by high winds all day. Pure as hell.

The kids from the team are all long hitters and stepping on 18 tee with 25mph in the face a 450 yard par 4 played a full par 5. The kids were hitting driver / 3 wood and were still short. I had to go driver, 6 iron, 7 iron, two putt for the best bogey of the season.
 
Man has it been windy the last 2 weeks. I am getting tired of playing with gusts up to 25 mph.

I’m with yah... it’s been wild for sure, especially on a 210 par three where driver becomes a real play.
