Those look a LOT better than the Truss.
Those Truss putters look interesting. Fun Fact... it's just an modernized version of the Otto Hackbarth putter. The design was patented back in 1914 and is long since expired.
Chick Evans won the 1916 US Open and US Amateur with one..... From what i read, even Babe Ruth was a fan of the Hackbarth putter.

How do i know this? Well.... there's a photo of one on the wall of a men's room, somewhere in CT. Had never heard of this putter or creator and had to "Google" it.... So, if not for a timely trip, I never would have stumbled across this funfact...

Nice additions. Still loving mySpiderX.

Just picked up a Spider X Hydro Blast (Single Bend), and man does it feel great to putt with. My local GG also had one of the older chalk white versions and while I loved the chalk's black shaft and black putter grip, the Hydro Blast color scheme really gives it a more premium look, especially when actually putting. I tried the EX but didn't like the alignment as much, and the Hydro Blast was around $75 cheaper. I wasn't a fan of how the other Spider putters looked so I left them alone. I know the Spider X insert has been knocked by a couple of other folks here, and I certainly think there are better inserts out there (*cough *cough White Hot OG *cough), but I liked the feel and sound of the Hydro Blast insert better then the ones in either the EX or the chalk white.

Coming from an Odyssey Stroke Lab Birdy Of Prey, I also found the Spider X easier to maintain my (mostly) SB/ST stroke, and although I'm sure others will love the new 2 Ball Tens, I realized after using one for close to 20 minutes that I'm not a fan - to me, the Ten looks very plastic-like at address, and I also just don't think the 2 Ball alignment works for me. I wanted so bad to like it, but I was missing easy putts left and right with it, while I was just draining putts with the Spider X.

Can't wait to get this out on some real greens soon!

Saw the new Spider SR in stores the other day and pretty disappointed how long front to back it is. It rolled ok for me but I couldnt get over the look at address. Compared to my scotty phantom x 5.5 it just looks very long

Put my new single bend Spider X HydroBlast to the test out on the course for a couple of rounds, and I have absolutely zero regrets - this thing is amazing. I’ve come so close to nailing some really long putts, and the distance control and feel is great. Couldn’t be happier with this putter.

I rolled all of these in my CC putter fitting and I still wish that TM would come up with a better feeling insert. I always enjoy the shapes, and these are no different, but the feel is just too firm for me.

It’s...metallic.

Jman, did you find this metallicness with the SR? I got the SR and I agree, the sound it's making is more metallic... almost like the noise that became the name of another brand. I like the look of the SR, but I can't get over the sound, I'll probably stay with the Spider Tour which seems more muted for me.

OK I rolled one of these yesterday with that new insert.....no thanks. Just not for me.

For all that Taylormade is. Their putters are just not as good as they could be or even have been.

Rolled the SR around at home and I’m just not sure I can get past the metallic noise. That’s about the only problem I have with it. I like the shape.

Wife took out the EX I bought her on Sunday and it was SO much fun to watch her putt with it. She loves the look and feel, and her stroke is so much better. She rolled some beauties. It's a good fit for her in so many ways.

Nice. What color is it?

That's awesome! I haven't seen all that many reviews of anyone using the EX, glad to hear someone likes it! Would have considered it if it was a touch cheaper.

Mostly unrelated, I think I saw Rory McIlroy using a Spider X at the Wells Fargo Championship this past weekend. Wasn't sure if he would be rocking the X, the EX, or something else.

EDIT - thought it was a HydroBlast version but the shadows were playing tricks on my eyes.

Thinking about taking the SR back to see if I can even swap for an X hydroblast....

Roll it yet?
Yes a few rounds, I find the insert a little softer than my other putter and have to give it more of a strike to get to the hole. Out greens are very slow at this time.
The one line I have notice with the spider is that I find I can hit my lines much easier than before . I am holing more putts from longer and mid range putts than be for . short putts are almost automatic. Once the greens speed up I can see distance control will be bang on.

The inserts for the Spider putters has been too soft but the Spider X was very close. I just got the Spider EX and love the insert. It now my gamer. It is bigger than the X but I see no problem there. The increased sound and feel make this insert perfect for me. I like the fluted shaft.
