I love putters and I love custom putters even more. I am fairly good with my hands, so I figured that I will give my putter a new look along with my wedges.

I don't really have a time frame to do this in, but I will post the results here when I get done.

I have a Scotty California. I am going to replace the red paint fill with emerald green. I will probably do the same with my wedges. I hope to do this within the next week if I am able to get to a hobby shop to pick up the necessary paint.

can't wait to see how they turn out seth.

Thanks guys. I am going to leave the current finish on it, but I could also ghost it if I wanted too. That would be epic!

This sounds great. If you could post before and after pics that would be great.

Can't wait to see it setho. Before and after, epic man!

I will have to do before and after pics. I have a couple of other irons in the fire that I have to take care of first. I am sure I can find time in the next few days to get this done.

I refilled the paint yesterday and I am in the process of posting the pictures.

What I changed:
  • scotty cameron on the front is now green
  • the titleist and sightline are now black
  • The California is now yellow

I sold a sc bulls eye 33/350 and I just saw it on ebay painted ghost....what a travesty

Looks nice sethto. Adds some pop to it

Very nice dude. Love it.

Looks really good Seth.

Thanks guys! It is not perfect, but not bad at all for my first paint fill job.

Nice!!! What was your process? Are you happy with the results?

I am 90% happy with it. I am going to have to redo the California, but it works for right now. The paint is not as smooth as I would have liked it.

  • Acetone to remove the paint with qtips and toothpicks
  • Wash the head with warm water
  • Apply Testors enamel and use a flat surface to scrape over the make sure all fill is even
  • Let the paint dry for at least 2 hours
  • take Acetone on a sheet of folded up paper towel and gently wipe dried excess paint

looks good seth. I like how you used different colors for each. I really like the Scotty Cameron in Green on the face.

What was your method of filling? Did you use the crayon method?

I read through and missed it.

Very nice Setho. Great colors, I love it.

I love the yellow on the bottom that's filling the California. Now you got me thinking about doing a paint fill on my putter...

thats pretty cool. I wish I could paint but i think I may be the worlds worse.
