I think this is a move in the right direction. Personally, I think they should eliminate ALL armchair ruling by television viewers for the very reason already expressed in the article. You'll watch a tournament and see a very small spectrum of players and fewer still where you can watch all 18 holes like you would for Tiger Woods. That makes it very unfair to them. If all players got the same amount of television time then I say sure, but until that happens, the call in ruling should not be allowed. If it cannot be called by the player, an official on the spot or an observer (fan) at the actual location, then it should not be able to be penalized.
