This is from a press release:

Line extension includes NEW Phantom 5.2 and 7.2 models along with left-handed versions of the Phantom 5, 11 and 11 Long Design models.

Today Scotty Cameron adds five new configurations to the Phantom mallet putter lineup, introducing the NEW tour-inspired Phantom 5.2 and Phantom 7.2 models to the mallet family, as well as offering the Phantom 5, Phantom 11 and Phantom 11 Long Design models in left-handed setups for the first time.

The all-new Scotty Cameron Phantom 5.2 and 7.2 putters, featuring the popular wingback Phantom 5 and Phantom 7 mallet head shapes, are crafted with an I-beam-style plumbing neck. The plumbing neck setup provides players with alternative toe flow properties and alignment benefits to the shaft and neck configurations already offered in the Phantom lineup.

Joining the Phantom 5.2 and 7.2 in the lineup are three new left-handed offerings for 2025: the Phantom 5, Phantom 11 and Phantom 11 Long Design. The Phantom 5, a compact, winged mallet, features a near-face balanced setup with a mid-bend shaft. The Phantom 11 is a face balanced, high-MOI, multi-material mallet, while the Phantom 11 Long Design shares the same head shape but is built to a 38-inch counterbalanced configuration with a longer and heavier grip, a stiffer mid-bend shaft and a heavier headweight.

“The combination of the plumbing neck and our Phantom mallet shapes has become increasingly popular on tour, and we’ve learned a lot about its benefits from listening to players like Justin Thomas, Cameron Young and Davis Riley who have used this style of putter on Tour. It’s a great setup for players coming from a blade into a mallet, or really for any golfer looking for blade-like feel and alignment with the benefits of a larger head.

- SENIOR DIRECTOR OF PUTTER R&D AUSTIE ROLLINSON

The new Scotty Cameron Phantom 5.2, 7.2 and left-handed Phantom 5, 11 and 11 Long Design putters will be available in golf shops worldwide beginning February 14, 2025. MAP: $449/$499 (Long Design)

I know Cameron can sometimes drag their feet in bringing things to the public market that people want but happy to see the .2 models

Fans seem like they're begging a lot for mallets to have plumb necks from SC

I do like these new necks, similar to the one I have my current putter.

The plumber’s neck option will make a lot of people happy

I dig 'em, I'll add it to my eternal Scotty ponder list.

It makes me happy. I wish more mallets were offered with a plumbers neck option.

This could actually get me to consider a Scotty. Big fan of crank neck mallets at the moment.

I don't believe I have been excited by a Scotty Cameron putter release before.

Same. I don’t know why that hasn’t been a more popular thing with the designs.

Has the face changed at all? It looks the same  as some of the last iterations of Scotty's

Very clean look. Love the new Phantom 9 version compared to mine. As much as like my black accents, the 100% metal look on the new version is sharp.

Did you not read above? haha, the change is the plumbers neck

I know Just the neck? But why not change the face as well? I get it that's not what the Tour guys want blah, blah, blah
Because the neck makes a huge difference and the face is time tested loved by many? Just a guess haha

long overdue but glad they finally added it....but why stop there. Offer it on all the mallets

I dig them, a lot.

It’s about time.

Put the 7.2 vs. Ai Silver Milled 7 and let the games begin.

Really, really wanted the 7.2 special release and it’s awesome to see this come to market at a lower price point

So I’ve decided I’m definitely jumping on the 5.2 when it comes out so I’m selling a few things to pay for it. Remembered I had a Circle T pistolero grip sitting in a drawer in my basement with my other grips (I’m a putter tinker machine so I like to have a number of grips ready in case I want to try something different).

My question: does anyone know the best way to clean a rubber Scotty grip like the Pistolero? It’s brand new, never used. Won it in a game on the Scotty Facebook pages. Never felt the need to put a grip on a putter that I could sell for what they go for though. But it’s accumulated some dusting or something from sitting in the drawer with the other grips.

Didn’t want to mess it up so thought I’d ask before scrubbing it with something that could ruin it. And this Scotty thread is the newest one so figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask in here. Any help is appreciated!

I have absolutely no idea how I missed this this week. (I mean, I do it was an insane week). It figures that they would finally release a main lineup .2 in a year I’ve already said “no Scotty’s.”

These look good though. The more plumber’s neck mallets the better.

Just a damp cloth should do the trick.

Having been a Scotty user since the mid 90's , and I like this one.
