If we're doing hot takes.....OK here goes

Ladainian Tomlinson is the greatest RB in NFL history.

We've still to this date never seen a better all around RB, and his prime was several seasons long.
Billy Madison Shut Up GIF

I detest Aaron Rodgers with every fiber of my being...but he was a better QB than Drew Brees.

Drew Brees was a better leader and overall human being.

Terrell Davis fits this take better.

Wasn’t even the best rb during his prime lol

Who was better in the 2000s? He was 2000yds~ from scrimmage like 6-7 years in a row.

It's a tough take to say the above with all respect....He finished 2nd in MVP voting 3 times. Including 2011 when he set the passing yards record and was 46/14 TD to Int. He was 2nd in MVP voting in 2009 the year they won the SB

The guy threw for 4300+ yards 12 years in a row

He produced year after year like few we've seen.

Rodgers won a lot of hardware but other than 2010 wasn't much better in the playoffs.
Without even arguing stats or anything I’m just going to go old guy eye test. Brees career overlapped Rodgers Manning and Brady. There was never a season the thee of them played where I would have chosen Brees over any of those three for that season or heading into the next except for Mannings last year. So for me he’s instantly 4 ever season between those 4. There are a lot of years where other guys were ahead of Brees.

I’m not saying he sucks. But I think if you put this poll up and excluded Saints fans you are going to be at about 95/5 for Rodgers/Brees.

I don't give a damn if you are a division champion. You should never make the playoffs with a losing record.

Terrell Davis fits this take better.

Terrell Davis wasn't a pass catcher , had a great oLine and mostly ran toss sweep type stuff. Also his career was like 4 years.

I'm with you on Brees but not really here.

Ok ok…

I can agree with this…

Although he is beloved, Mike Ditka held the mid/late 1980's Bears back and is a big reason they never won another Super Bowl.

Elway for me.

TB
Joe Montana
Elway
Young
Manning
I can't really speak up for Unitas, Otto, or Bradshaw. If it were just guys I saw play those might be the top 5. Marino, Mahomes (hate it), and Favre (hate it) also could be in that top 5. I am very biased towards Elway as I was Broncos fan as a kid because I hated the Oilers.

He was drafted in 2007 so i would disagree that LT wasn't the best RB in his prime. Since these 2 guys played different years. That being said i'm a huge AP guy being a Vikings fan.

It's a fair point. He was incredible as a runner.

I think LT edges him out due to pass catching.

But you're point is very well taken

What is happening in here with these insane RB takes?

Barry. Sanders.

Back to the Rodgers v Brees take

Rodgers is basically a modern day Joe Namath IMO. (which isn't great)

Yeah I don’t pretend to know anyone before 80s when I was a kid. Just what I saw.

I probably would redo my list already and put Mahomes at 3. I have Stockholm syndrome from him and he’s definitely before Young. Marino, Rodgers and Farve are after Manning for me in that order.

Donovan McNabb should be in HOF.

Then there shouldn't even be divisions.
Why not? You can still make the playoffs by winning the division. Just can’t host a playoff game against a team with a better record

King Henry just took a **** and named it LT and said I flush players that quit
