This entire thread would be like me saying Calvin Johnson is better than Jerry Rice.

Is he one of my favorite players of all time? Yes. Do I think if he had played 4 or 5 more seasons he would've been in the conversation? Yes. As it stands is he better than Rice? Not a freaking chance.

It's more a comment on LT than Gore. Though the Gore durability is a big factor is why I would say that.

If not for two miracle catches he'd have the same number of Super Bowls. He was a statistically average QB every year, but those games are all anyone thinks of.

The only way to make that argument appear to be valid is to say QB quality hurt Largent...but Dave Krieg was pretty good.
