JaMarcus Russell was misunderstood.

Something is shady with the K balls that the current kickers are using.

Did anyone bring it up in the NFL thread about HOU/PITT and the O/U?

Are they juiced like baseballs used to be?

Funny story but in the old days when kickers got to use their own balls they used to do all sorts of stuff to them.....try to squash them vertically since if you could "round" them a bit they'd be easier to control like a soccer ball. The earliest K balls were a bit tougher since they were taller and thinner and the seems less rounded.

It was a big deal back then

Kickers now are so good though it barely matters

Yes or like the juiced composite bags in CBB.

Any kicker would rather use their own ball. They'd want it squashed a bit and worn more than a new ball. Trust me on that one......They are just that good now.

Well then, let's go back to my post that started this and plug Megatron into the AI.
Further proves my point the WC system in that era helped Jerry

Projected Stats for Hypothetical Johnson (in Rice's Environment)Scaling up: ~80-100%+ volume increase (more games, targets, better QB/red-zone usage). Assume he maintains ~95-105% of his real per-game efficiency (his freak athleticism + better setup = even higher catch/TD rates), with YPC dropping slightly to ~14-15 range in a timing-based offense.
StatActual Johnson (2007–2015)Projected Johnson Reasoning/Notes
Seasons Played920Matches Rice's longevity; assumes better health in winning system.
Games Played135~280-300Similar durability rate; fewer injury setbacks.
Receptions731~1,500-1,700Huge jump; 100+ catch seasons multiple times (prime could see 120-140 targets/year). His hands/size fit perfectly for volume.
Receiving Yards11,619~21,000-24,000+Could challenge or surpass Rice's 22,895; elite YPC maintained longer with deep threats mixed in.
Yards per Catch15.9~14.0-15.0Slight dip from more underneath routes, but still high due to YAC and contested wins.
Receiving TDs83~180-210Massive increase; red-zone monster (size + hands) with Montana/Young accuracy—could lead league multiple years.
100-Yard Games31 (including streaks)80-100+Could approach or break Rice's 76 record; consistent dominance.
Pro Bowls612-15Near-annual selection in prime.
All-Pro3 First-Team8-10 First-TeamFrequent leader in yards/TDs.
Super Bowls03-4 (likely)Key contributor to multiple titles; potential SB MVP (e.g., big games like Rice's).
Other NotesSingle-season yards record (1,964 in 2012), retired earlyLikely sets new benchmarks (e.g., single-season TDs/yards in peak years); GOAT contender or #1 WR debateCultural icon status amplified with rings; "Megatron" in dynasty offenses would be unstoppable.

Legalized sports betting is a Pandora's box they'll regret they ever opened.

The NFL is as rigged as the WWE

What seems to be a hot take. I like the new kickoff rules.
Me too. Once I got over how it looked visually we actually get kickoff returns again.

We're doing hot takes?

Bengals ownership wins the internet for claiming Zac Taylor and Duke Tobin are the right guys to bring championship football to Cincinnati a day after losing to the ******* Browns to end their horrible season.

I think there's a difference between hate and saying near the bottom of a top 10 list.

There is no in between. It’s either you think he is the greatest or a terrible piece of human garbage barely worth breathing.

That's the part I like...the no kickoff return NFL sucked.

I don't give a damn if you are a division champion. You should never make the playoffs with a losing record.
Drew Brees lost to one of those teams with a losing record in the playoffs.
