Galloping Hill
The 18th is definitely a test after walking up and down the hills on a summer day.
I was going to say that I played it about 10 years ago and it was nothing special. You can see the huge new clubhouse from the parkway and I assumed they dumped a ton of dinero into it and was probably much better. I gotta try it now.
36 holes Saturday at Kissena Park. Really well maintained executive course. Fun as hell. I went for an early morning tee time and finished within 3 hours, decided to play another round. No one was there.
Last pic pic is from the 15th hole at Forest Park at about 7am yesterday. Nice water shot carrying about 150 yards. Gotta love starting a NYC workday with 18 under your belt

Hey everyone. I’ve been living in NY (actually right by Kisenna Park golf course) for the past 3 years after moving from Michigan. I haven’t been active on THP but now getting back into things. Would love to meet up and get recommendations on courses.

Found a great Robert Trent jones course in Kingston, ny. The club name Wiltwyck golf club. It is a semi private club. It is $55 to play and well worth it. I highly reccomend if your are close to the area.

Its on my list. Believe it used to be private. My plan is to give it a go this year.

Great course. The price is a steal. They need some rain up there because the course was super firm. It is challenging with very hard greens

Up here too. Played this morning and the greens are really firm on an already firm layout.

I played there yesterday afternoon. I think If the course softens up a little, it is a real gem. Why where you up that way? My wife and o have house about 20 minutes away.

I'm game. I live right between Albany and Saratoga.
I always underestimate how much room there is to the right (first pic) lol. Used to play a quick 9 at the crack of dawn at Kissena probably twice a week.
15th at Forest is fun, right until having to make that long walk to 16 HAH

Played at Douglaston Golf Course yesterday. Got out right after the rain stopped in the morning. Course was super crowded which meant a 5 hour round. I think it is the most well kept of the public courses of the city courses. They just need to do something about the pace of play.
Had a rough string of holes on the back 9. They put 3, par 3s in a row followed by an easy par 4 then the longest par 5 on the course to finish the 18. Looking forward to getting out there again for a round.

I wish that I was going to be around this weekend for the Srixon irons and XXIO. Let me know if you want a partner for the 29th.
DNice26 and I are thinking about getting out on Saturday 10/27 at a course TBD (probably somewhere between us) if anybody else is interested in some fall golf.
