Odyssey S2S Tri-Hot Putters

This I have had this happen more than 1 time in just about every round. Once I get that aspect fixed, I can expect to save 2-4 shots a round.
Do you think it’s because of the softer insert? I’ve found that the ai optimized faces tend to be hotter becuse I don’t always hit it out of the center of the face

Right! It’s a great contrast
Good contrast but not my favorite to look at beside the ball. It’s infinitely better in hand than any picture shows.

It’s why I think the transition to one isn’t as big as other zts
That’s true.

The ultimate key though remains if the golf can, or cannot, just let the putter work and not try to steer. It’s why ZT typically doesn’t work for some.

The heavier head here with the shaft should help most feel it better than other options. Plus the face is not dead like others

Yep - totally agree.

One drill I’ve done in the past with my LAB is putting with my thumbs off - it helps lessen the “steer” of your wrists.

@Jman has been preaching that drill for a long time now

I like the fact that there’s no shaft lean.
Forward press grips throw me off
That was huge when I tried it yesterday. A lot easier to set up as you normally would.

I guess the m stands for malletson t

Plus, the red and black looks ******* amazing in contrast to the green….greens.
It really does. But it’s just an added benefit an not something intentional. (There was a rather… humorous conversation with Luke about this very fact).

Unless you’re red/green colorblind that is.

The fact that they solved the press issue is incredible. I loved the original S2S but that required a very specific setup and alignment for me. If even a bit of it was off my putting inside of 10 feet was abysmal. The fact that this is much more neutral from that perspective is a huge win.

You were playing the JB head previously correct? Did you find you had troubles lining that up compared to the 7
I was using the JB head correct. Had also been using a center shaft putter with a similar shape to the #7. No issues aligning the #7. I prefer the #7 shape as a center shaft versus heel shafted.

100%. It was a quick adjustment period for me.

Correct. Have to trust it.

I was curious how this works with colorblind golfers…😂

Depends on the severity. It’s not going to completely disappear or anything. It’s gonna be all shades of brown though.

Eh, it’s not really heavier in feel, also, I’ve never found the face of the others dead at all, from the LAB’s to the Spider ZT I also own

The zt is perhaps the biggest competitor here. That one was also very well thought out but has a touch more press

I’ve been telling people to use that putting drill for about 15 years here on THP.

I agree. My lab feels a lot heavier (prob due to the heavier weights and TPT shaft). But the TH didn’t feel light in anyway.
