Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 183. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Josh Babbitt, Publisher of THP joins the show, to discuss pace of play and getting better at golf.

It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Josh talk interviewing coaches and what goes into finding an instructor. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Josh Babbitt goes Off Course.

Episode 183 is here and Dan and Josh discuss the following topics.

Pace of Play in Golf
The LPGA and Golf Coverage
Interviewing an Instructor
Getting Better at Golf
And so much more

You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or anywhere you do your listening and downloading from. Search for the Hackers Paradise and make sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode. After listening, come back over and drop us a note below on what you agree and/or disagree with from the episode. If you get a chance, drop us a review wherever you listen from and let others know what you think of the show and/or channel.

Look forward to this making Friday go by quicker

Excited to jump into this one!

Always interested in the topic of improvement. I’ll give it listen today. Thanks!

Love that we will get a bit of LPGA chatter and tv coverage in this one

Always going to be a good show. I like to hear perspective on getting better from different people.

Different people get better different ways when they are at a different place in their game. If that's not using different too much in a sentence.

I’m enjoying the verbal arm wrestling in the first bit to see who is interviewing who

Been a while since I haveistened but caught up on a road trip for work. Loved the talk on PGA and social side of golf.

This one should be good for listen this am! KEEP IT UP!

ALSO BRING MRS. CANADAN ON. I need to convince mrs. gMan to start playing!

Man, I just went to my local
golfTec to check it out and they mentioned the swing evaluation. Glad to hear it was beneficial

It was a really cool way to audition. Will it hold longterm for me? History says no, but I liked what I went through and while not the least expensive "lesson" I have ever had, it seemed like a good investment to audition an instructor.

And it sounded like there was value gained with understanding your swing, even if you don’t carry on there with lessons

I think there was.
It was kind of a breath of fresh air seeing someone that I didnt have to explain my issue to, but rather noticed it with in a couple of minutes. There was also really good dialogue throughout.

High and literal low of this morning commute.

sounds like a dream scenario to me.

and now i'm excited to fire up Spotify on the drive home!

I like the no commitment aspect of the “swing evaluation” vs “starting lessons”

Lots to break down on this show so far today..

1.. I am starting to wonder if we are getting too crazy over pace. but, I agree that on any given day a 4 plus hour round is pretty solid.

2. If @JB is improving I would love to see is as I was impressed when we played at Dormie.

3. The Netflix cup was awful and I am getting tired of all of stuff. I think I am hitting saturation with golf content and I am starting to feel that these are just cash grabs for millionaires and I not into it. I would rather watch youtube golf.

4. Seemed to drop unless I have missed it somewhere else that it will be a @Canadan/@JB pairing day one at the Grandaddy.

I thought I corrected it by saying playing together as in part of the Grandaddy.

maybe, I might have missed that. I am still listening as I get my energy drink in and get going at work.

@JB ok, I just got to the part of clarification. You guys talked about it twice. The first time you talked about how you would be playing two 7 hole matches.

I'm glad I am not the only one who believes groups playing slap-tickle are a major cause of slow play 😂

UGH the 3 hour 10 holes mentioned again

You and Yagley playing slap tickle with story time, was not fast. :ROFLMAO:
Honestly had no clue till we made the turn and I was like Oh f**k...All I can say is you've played it with me it's not my fault haha
