Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 280. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Walker Slaton from Mizuno joins the show to discuss the incorporating alternative technologies into JPX ONE driver line and why it should be on your must try list.

It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Walker dive into many topics including the key benefits of Nanoalloy that both support and surprise to make the JPX ONE a strong contender. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Walker Slaton goes Off Course.

Episode 281 is here and Dan and Walker Slaton discuss the following topics and a whole lot more.

The Classic Conforming List Incorrect Assumption
Incorporating Alternative Technologies into JPX ONE
Benefits of Nanoalloy that Support and Surprise
Managing Best Outcomes with Pricepoints
Picking a Color that Compliments
And so much more

You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or anywhere you do your listening and downloading from, including Spotify and more. Search for the Hackers Paradise and make sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode. After listening, come back over and drop us a note below on what you agree and/or disagree with from the episode. If you get a chance, drop us a review wherever you listen from and let others know what you think of the show and/or channel.

Off course is now available in video as well. Tune into the THPGolf YouTube Channel, jump into the video and watch the interaction between Dan and his guests each week rather than just listen.

This should be a fun listen - excited to give this a listen today!

Love we will get into the material story in this one

For sure be listening to this one.

What @Canadan a Mizuno show on Callaway drop day are you just trying to troll us.

We will always cover every brand my friend.
I am still listening to it on the way into work I really like what both of these drivers are doing with the driver face and multi-materials I am a bit obsessed already

So much going on here. Waking up with Canadan on a Friday is always a good thing.

This is a great listen @Canadan. I feel like Walker is a perfect replacement for Vosh in that role. I hope they add a third addition to the lineup that has the CORTech and Nanoalloy. If we've seen anything with 3DP, people will pay for performance. I feel like I'm going to have 5 drivers in the bag this year, but I am really excited to hit the JPX One just to see what it does.

Hearing that Mizuno didn't put the nanoalloy on the fairways and hybrids cause the lack of surface area of the face of the fairways and hybrids wasn't enough to optimize the new face was super interesting. Love that they took a look and decided the impact wouldn't be worth the extra costs and went a different direction.

I saw these drivers in the wild last night. They look GOOD.

Agreed they look fantastic and it's one of the 3 drivers I am absolutely trying this release season. I love the technology discussion and learning more about how Mizuno works re: working in Japan. Super interesting

Also, lefties unite! Thanks Walker!

Can’t wait to give this a watch!

A little nudge for the afternoon crowd!

I spent some time today gathering all of the testing data that Cool Clubs posts on their site.
They Robot test at 95 mph, 2* up delivery, 0* path test, center strike across all of the current drivers.

The Callaway Quantum TD and OPTM were the shortest carry but *** that was mainly due to their freakishly low spin at that swing speed) at 222 and 223 then both JPX drivers were at 223-224. Their spin rates were on the avg to higher side of the drivers tested.

The rest of the field was at a 225-233 carry with 228 being the avg.
The JPX One tied the Qi4d Max Lite with the highest spin in their testing at 2950 range.

I have no skin in the game, one way or the other, but was just posting what the testing results said. At 85 mph or 110 mph the results could all switch.

I meant to respond to this earlier. This was a fun listen. I want to hit this driver as soon as I can.. Or at least look at it in hand.

Depending on where you hit the ball on the face of the club can also make the numbers flip around too! I feel we are getting to the point where every manufacturer has stepped up their game for 2026 and the decision-making process may start coming down to which driver is best for the user's specific miss and which driver looks coolest when they are swinging it. So far, for this release cycle, Triple Diamond and JPX are the coolest looking. Cobra OPTM has my favorite crown/shape.

FINALLY about to dive into this!!
