Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 241. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, James Miles, Director of Education at THP, joins the show to discuss the rise of indoor golf and launch monitors.

It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and James dive into many topics including how TGL can connect the dots between the PGA Tour and fun. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as James Miles goes Off Course.

Episode 241 is here and Dan and James discuss the following topics.

Trends at the 2025 PGA Show
Normalizing Launch Monitors in Every Day Golf
The Rise of Indoor Golf
Cobra’s Go Chase More Commercial
TGL Connecting the Dots Between Tour and Fun
And so much more

You can listen to the show right here, Apple Podcasts or anywhere you do your listening and downloading from. Search for the Hackers Paradise and make sure to subscribe so you never miss an episode. After listening, come back over and drop us a note below on what you agree and/or disagree with from the episode. If you get a chance, drop us a review wherever you listen from and let others know what you think of the show and/or channel.

Off course is now available in video as well. Tune into the THPGolf YouTube Channel and jump into the video and watch the interaction rather than just listen between Dan and his guests each week.

This is saved for tomorrow's drive to work. Sounds like a fun one again, I love LM talk!

Golf should be enjoyable and connect people. -- This is why you're top 5 golf personalities my guy.

I think stat tracking is so easy, and important, if you want to improve. It is one thing in golf that doesn't add a lot of time during the round to slow you down, but after the round if you want you can really dig into it or you can just glance and know your numbers a bit better.

I enjoy tuning in when it’s @Canadan and @Jman. Some great tangents are had for sure.

Great point @Jman . Just because someone is a superstar doesn't mean they have a personality that is attractive to an audience.

This conversation is starting to sort of happen on the @JB thread about TGL ratings.

Hello boys.

I can’t wait to listen to this one! May have to pop in the earbuds at work this morning.

This’ll be a great one to listen to while I’m working later this morning - can’t wait!

"Golf doesn't need to be an 18 hole round."

You can't unsay that. I'm going to make a shirt.

I still remember when I said golf should be based on 6 hole rounds and people lost their ******* minds.

At the last course I belonged to I played a bunch of 12 hole rounds. I think that's truly the perfect amount of golf. Hit the front nine and then played the first three holes over again afterwards.

The alignment issue is a thing. I struggle in my first rounds when I move outdoors.

Also, quit making fun of me for missing 30 yards right.

Everything I outlined in that thread (which I just bumped) would solve so much of the problems with golf.

I was thinking of you and that thread when it was said. Golf isn't more or less fun when it's longer or shorter but it just is what it is.

Pay for 6, play 6 move on.
