Official Equipment Pondering Thread

Who's got the best pricing on Powercore shafts right now? I may be in the market for one now that I have a source of income again
CONGRATS

The PXG Secret Weapon mini is in! Well, during a brief range session, the ball slices the same as a driver. I thought it would be more forgiving. I lowered the trajectory from 13 to 11.5 and it is much better. Still getting used to the club and senior shaft, when hit well, it comes off the face hot, so it has nice potential.

Cobra wedges. Admittingly I have not given them much thought since their release and seeing the new tester pictures has me crazy interested in trying them

Finally getting the opportunity to try/test/swing these on friday. With so may R/L misses recently hoping to have one of these stabilize my stroke a little bit.

Nice! Thats a fun assortment to try!
Thanks!! Have to imagine any of them will feel worlds apart from the K-Turd. Hope that "feel" translates to a little more accuracy (and a bit of luck).

Side note, I'll likely put the ole K-turd in a glass case if you guys want to auction it off or give it away as "Mystery Box" item (to someone you clearly hate) 😂

@hackitup how'd you like em?

I think they look pretty and perform better than they look. Honestly, the Cobra King X wedges are not as GI looking as I once thought. The flight is a touch higher than the King wedges but they also have more than a touch more forgiveness built in. It's also easily flightable. I can hit a partial wedge low or mid-high and get the same stopping power. I'm still getting used to the shots I can hit with the King wedge in T grind. But let me say, I am immediately drawn to a club that meets the marketing description. The King wedge T grind has lived up to the description with the nice surprise of it being easier to hit the shots I want to hit than I expected. I'd put them up against any top tier wedge on the market and expect it to be really close and depend more on the golfer than the club.

Lots of shaft and iron ponders at the moment..

My Paradym Super Hybrid is a little more draw biased than ideal. Great club. But it is impossible for me to fade and difficult to keep straight.

UW instead?
Maybe a mini spinner 9?
Maybe an OPTM X 9w to go with my 7w?

But don’t love the idea of another $300 shaft to put in any of them to match my current setup lol

A set of Cobra 3DP heads, 5-PW. Perhaps MB, or a combo with Tour for the long irons.

54 and 58 wedges. it's time

Might be time for a new putter. I really need to make more putts. Today’s attempt at putting was somewhat atrocious at times.

My swing simply isn’t good enough right now to handle a 4i so I’m looking to replace that spot with a hybrid, but it needs to gap properly with my ‘19 Apex hybrids. So a 5h in one of these:

’19 Apex vs ‘21 Apex vs ‘21 Apex Pro

After another awful season off the tee with the Srixon debating on going back to a Callaway driver. Trento get back to the good old days of Epic Flash SZ and Mavrik SZ 😂😬

Heavy pondering at the 💎💎💎Max

I’ve been using this drill and it’s serious improving my driver play. Actually, I just rewatched it and realized I’m not doing it right - I’ve been hitting 100 yard pitch shots with the driver just focusing on controlling the face to hit it straight. Maybe a new stick isn’t necessary???

I am doing a Titleist fitting Thursday. My main goal is to optimize my existing GT2 driver but if the next iteration provides material improvement...

Not sure if the right thread....

but my Bluetooth speaker finally died. I was pondering grabbing a Shot scope H50, as most courses I play do not have GPS, but now that I need a new speaker as well, I am considering a GPS speaker like the Blue Tees Pro vs the H50 and a generic magnetic speaker.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I know ppl enjoy the Bushnell Wingman HD but it's too big and bulky for me.

I myself use a Vortex Anarch+ rangefinder along with the Bushnell Wingman Mini speaker.
