Par Three/Pitch & Putt Thread by Slaz 82

Went up to the pitch and putt today don`t normally go at weekends cos its busier and theres more disc golfers there.
I`m thinking of taking up disc golf o_O,the greens at the pitch and putt are in a bad way,i know we say over here "we had a heatwave" but its not like were in Phoenix AZ. Actually we`ve had a few"heatwaves"

So the greens are bare , there is not a very good watering system in place and when we`ve had some rain what grass has grown is in `tufts` so basically your ball can bounce all the way to the hole
But thats not all your ball can viciously change course about 6 inches from the hole, ok its not anyones fault its just weather (ok maybe the local council could have upgraded the watering system a bit)

imho the council are going to have to close half the course for a period of time and hopefully resurrect the greens, it is possible or we need a mild autumn

oh i didn`t say why i went today ..................i got another putter
its a Northwestern Plus 10 (thats a stock photo) anyone would think i could play this darn game lol ironic isn`t it get a putter but greens are yuk)

Thought I'd pay visit to the pitch and putt played about 5 holes but gave up
Why? Poor play, poor course conditions, bad weather?

I didn't feel 100% when I decided to go and play and I've have had a flu bug but yes the course condition were bad i mentioned the greens but there was litter all over and it's the first time I've had a problem with disc golfers but i wasnt the only one the couple in front of me were pi**sed off too.I told the person manning the course but he was not interested

Anyway l feel okish now ,weathers a bit grim for the next few days.Soccer season start today and there the Women Open to watch

Have an 18 hole P&P right by the house. Its on the shore of 500 sq mile+ Lake St Clair so its always breezy. Great place to practice knockdowns etc. I play at least 9 holes there every week. Last week i played 5 on my lunch break.

Went to the p and p yesterday ,got talking to two golfers who have been using the facility for longer than me . They were not happy with the conditions and various opinions are ( but it could be fake news) is that it will only be a disc golf course soon cos it saves money on caring for greens etc .

its cheap £74 a year or £6.50 per visit ,yesterday I had my years worth so to speak. The two nearest golf course to me both nine holes 5 and 8 miles away are ok, the nearest tends to attract morons with cans of beers the other is newish very well laid out and is tended very well both are cheap enough.
If I'm honest theres no point in me visiting these ,so it's take up disc golf (or pentanique) or win the lottery buy a house with land and build my own course

Found out today they (the local council) intend to install an electronic gate on the pitch and putt course the course will not be manned at all .
