The Ritz Carlton Members Course in Sarasota. FYI, not a member but this is easily one of the nicest FL courses I’ve played. Guessing total annual rounds is below 10k.

Practice area includes putting green, two pitching greens and driving range. There’s also a practice green next to the 1st tee. Needless to say, plenty of room to do your thing.

Typical hole. Lots of water, limited jungle, course maintenance is outstanding, no houses “on” the course, and fantastic greens.

Forgot to include yesterday’s gator picture. Apparently this big fella’s time is almost up at The Ritz Carlton. I’m sure they’ll find him a comfortable new home.

This could be an urban legend but a guy I golfed with last week told the following story. His friend went down by the water to get a ball and a gator attacked him a few years ago. The gator was smaller than the above photo. Anyway, the gator had a hold of his leg and he was beating it with a club. Another buddy rushes over to help before remembering he has a handgun in the cart. He quickly fires 13 rounds. 10 of them missed. 2 hit the gator. 1 hit his friend in the leg. Good news is they’re still friends and the gator didn’t win.

That's crazy, if true.
